Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

The way he ran, it had to be more than a problem for the Turk with the dragon tattoo on his upper arm. The rain lashed my face as I ran and made it difficult to see. Indignant passers-by hurriedly jumped aside when they saw us coming and even if Reese had a head start, I didn't let myself be left behind. Maybe I couldn't quite keep up with his stamina, but I was always as fast as him. It was only about a hundred meters along the main street, then Reese turned the corner of the house into the side street with a monkey tooth.

A Racing Heart

A Racing Heart

There were four shelves filled with books, two shelves at either side of the room with a reading space in the middle. There were two tables, each one had four chairs. A curtain blocked the sunlight from entering the room from the windows. I looked at the shelves eagerly, wondering the books I'll find. I love reading and reading e-books on my phone but nothing could beat paperbacks. I fought the urge to take a book and continued my exploration. The other rooms I found were just bedrooms. I looked at Byron's side and saw a room right by his own. I turned the knob and realized it was locked. I didn't pry and went to the last room.

Dragon-kissed

Dragon-kissed

They would be like ants drowned in consolidated droplets, and the water wouldn’t know the difference. Even as Sasha’s heart pounded with fear for both his and Aki’s lives, he willed himself to think quickly. He was using both his memory and mental calculations to study all the turns they passed in a blur and all the others they took in haste. Like in a house of mirrors, everything looked the same. But Aki was right, the maze was following cat’s cradle patterns. Each design lasted for exactly ten minutes unless they tripped a wire, in which case the maze would immediately proceed to the next. There was also a transition of ten seconds between designs.

more running? “Raze..” he said under his breath, hoping the noise around them masked it. They're coming. I can sense them. I will lend you my sense’s. . . TBC

It was a pretty good read but I feel like I missed some chapters. Like what happened to Dallas father wanting him to kill the Lycan. Then the story jumped from them being in an apartment to a cave. I’m just missing a lot of information.

You should change the description, doesn’t really match the storyline. It’s still an awesome book though! Love it and hope you finish it. I would like to see how Dallas father reacts once he finds out, also to see if Dallas would protects Ford (hope he does) Pls keep writing! Love all your bxb works

Mrs Cruz [BOOK 2]

Mrs Cruz [BOOK 2]

And now, I would be alone to fight through another battle, navigate another maze that I had no clue, no map, and no directions to follow. Heat crawled up my back slowly, sparring with my palpitations. I wasn’t sure if it was the room, or me. Black fuzz tunneled my vision, the cold tiles felt like ice licking my skin as my knees dropped to them. I tried to cling on to the sink, but the heavy depths I was falling into were too strong, the gravity pulling me by the waist. I sunk to the floor, allowing the contrasting temperature to soothe my burning skin. “Dios mío!” (Oh my God!) a voice carried through the cracks of my mind.

Let's Be Together (book 4)

Let's Be Together (book 4)

The little minx raced through the crowd, dodging people on her way. Cursing, he started out after her, but his blasted limp slowed him down. He wasn’t an easy man to injure, but she must have known right where to kick his shin to make it burn so badly. With each step, she ran further and farther away, darting in and out of tents, avoiding running into carts of fruit and vegetables for sale in the marketplace.

Light & Darkness: Book 4

Light & Darkness: Book 4

And this is how the last story about Light and Darkness that I wanted to present to you ends. It was certainly an extraordinary journey, showing different stories, but at the same time touching the same topic - can two such opposing poles as Light and Darkness connect at some point? I'll leave it to your own choice, but one thing is for sure - as Miyuki said in Book 4, wanting to stop the battle between vampires and wizards - Light and Darkness certainly couldn't exist without each other. If there was only Light but no Darkness, what would be its meaning? Likewise, if there was only Darkness in the world, wouldn't its existence be pointless without trying to "devour" the Light?

Book 1: Luna Returns

Book 1: Luna Returns

He and his friends smelled like they were coming from the sewer. "What is wrong with you four?" Rasmore asked, holding his nose. For the past month, they had been stuck up in the ancient library without food, water, or baths. Only after they gave up were they willing to come out, but with piles of magic books that they had decided to re-read in case they had left some lines behind. "What happened?" Hashmuk asked, walking towards them. He grabbed Kelvin, checking to see if he was okay, but Kelvin just pushed him away.

Marked (Mortal, Book Four)

Marked (Mortal, Book Four)

Winter I stare at the creatures, their long hooded cloaks barely skimming the ground, fear filling my every cell. We need to run. We need to hide. I know these things are dangerous. What it is they do, I don't know. Maybe I did at some point, but it's like information is slipping right out of my brain. "Run!" I point at a break between two wisps, and Alec and I duck through it. We take off, our feet pounding against the spongy earth. We sprint through the mist, our hearts racing and our breath coming in short gasps. I can hear the wisps behind us, their eerie whispers filling the air. I glance back and see them getting closer.
