I guess that scent is my personal scent that wolves identify me by. I was sitting on the couch at nine at night, watching "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" on a movie channel. I knew that it was the third of January, but what can I say? Christmas sticks with me through the year. The holiday cheer just gets more exciting during December. I sang the songs, laughed like the Grinch, and imitated his funny noises he makes between the narrator's pauses. I still had the pumpkin bread wrapped up on the table from this morning, so I had decided it was the best idea to eat the whole loaf. Yeah, best idea if I wanted to throw up. Eh, oh well.

Before I could figure out what was going on, a tall and slender woman approached Dylan and me. She locked arms with Dylan and shot me an irritated look, asking, "Who's this?" Dylan answered before I could even say a word, speaking in a tone that made it seem like we had coincidentally run into each other. "She's Blake's girlfriend. She came to look for him." The woman immediately dropped her guard and curiously gave me a once-over. She smiled sweetly and introduced herself as Trixie Ashford. She was Dylan's girlfriend, and she had returned to the country specifically to celebrate Christmas with him.

We continued wandering through the holiday shop, while I clicked a few pictures of the lights and Christmas-themed items. As we walked, something red and fuzzy caught my eye, instantly grabbing my attention. I practically bounced in excitement. “We need to buy you a Santa costume!” I exclaimed, my voice full of enthusiasm. “Arabella would love seeing you in it!” The idea of Cole dressed as Santa sent a surge of excitement through me.
