CLAIRE'S POV "Room 304." I exhaled, staring at my room number. It was on the highest floor, and I had dragged my suitcase all the way up. I didn't know how they assigned dorms, but when I went back to Madam Gretchen's office to get my bags, she told me I was in Raven dorm, which was apparently the best dorm according to the handbook I read. They had a public hot tub, a gym room, a theater room for movies, a library, and a snack room too.

I can’t imagine having to go to the end of the hall or using a public bathroom all the time in general. They remodeled the campus a couple of years ago, so now the dorm rooms are set up more like hotel rooms. Each dorm has a bathroom to share with your roommate. We also each have our desk and shelf built in. As I walk back into the main room in a towel, there’s a knock at the door. “Who is it?” I shout, but there’s no response. I slowly check the peephole, but there’s no one there. Curiosity wins, and I crack the door open.

We walked until we reached the door with the number 15 on it. “How many other rooms are there?” I asked, glancing at the doors and the corresponding numbers. “There’s 20 rooms in each section, not including the Dorm Advisor’s room which is located downstairs through the kitchen.”

The girls showed me around our dorm. It was more like a micro home with a small kitchen, a big sitting room and three mini bedrooms. What if I think of something in the moment and don't have time to ask Alberta about it? I decided that I would only ask Alberta if it was something special that wouldn't be taking place on a regular basis or in the comfort of our living quarters.
