Miss Time Novels & Stories

The first real crack appeared six weeks into our long-distance arrangement. I'd been working late—a major presentation to the board was scheduled for the next morning, and my team had discovered a significant error in our projections that needed immediate correction. By the time I finished, it was past midnight, and I'd missed our scheduled video call. Three missed calls from Damien. Four texts. Hey, still at work? Getting worried. Everything okay? Elena, can you just let me know you're alright?

I walked over to the sofa, and I unbuttoned my denim jacket because the fabric felt too warm inside the heated room. I pulled my phone out of my right pocket, and I pressed the side button to check the current time. The lock screen illuminated the dark room, and my breath caught in my throat. The screen was not blank. Three bright notifications stacked on top of each other, and they demanded my attention. Missed FaceTime Call: Unknown Number. Missed FaceTime Call: Unknown Number. Missed FaceTime Call: Unknown Number. My heart slammed against my ribs, and the residual happiness from the festival vanished fast. I stared at the timestamps listed next to the missed calls. The first call arrived

It was barely past eight when I was standing in line… I lost a few minutes blacked out in the office… maybe an hour dancing at most… Wasn’t it? I stare at the screen again, and ice floods my veins. Fifteen missed calls. Brinna. I forgot my best friend’s birthday.

" She asked calmly. " Yeah, I am of course. But I'm just waking up and the game won't start until 3 pm, so can you just chill please?" " Oh! Sorry, Missy. What says your time?" She asked. I checked my phone and it says 12:15 pm noon. " Oh my God! Did I sleep that long?" " Yup, so you better go get ready before you miss the game and your chance with Cole. I also hope his team wins the super bowl." She said.

informed her returning the smile. We all slip into the deafening silence once again our only source of distraction being our restless friend, different thoughts ws going through our minds. In days that I have been away from my usual life, I realized how much I have missed everyone and everything I normally take for granted. Most especially Mr Hyde, the way he always cares for me even when I don't ask for it. I miss him terribly. "What is your name?" I called loud enough for the pacing girl to hear. "Gina," she replied.

To: Miss Sandoval Can I call? He waited for three minutes when his phone beeps for a message. He smiled bitterly when he received a reply from her. From: Miss Sandoval Sorry, I'm sleepy. He heaved a sigh. It's just a casual message but it sounds sarcastically. Without any hesitation, he dialed her number and in just two rings, Mari answered his call. "What do you need, Mr. Montero?" A cold voice lingers on his ear. "Nothing," he answered.

I asked. "No, it’s fine. Is there a problem?" He asked, and the concern in his voice could be heard. I bit my lip when I heard him. It's been over a month since we last met. "Hello? Are you still- " "I miss you," it just came out of my mouth. Suddenly, the other line fell silent. I thought the call was gone, but it's still going on. "Damn baby, I miss you too. If I could just fly from Europe back to the Philippines, I would have done it." He said, and I could hear his heavy breathing.

“Chloe would never do something like that. I can prove she wasn’t the one driving the car.” “I believe in Chloe, too. I won’t let her get hurt again.” System: [Host, both Casey and Finn’s affection level for you has reached 90%. "Hello, is this Mr. Dylan Abbott? Your girlfriend, Ms. Felicia Cooper, was already dead before arriving at the hospital. We tried calling you many times before, but you never picked up. Kindly come to the hospital as soon as possible to take her body away." Dylan was stunned. He checked his call logs and realized that there had indeed been dozens of missed calls earlier. He turned to look at Lynette. Lynette smacked her own cheek and said, "Sorry, it's all my fault. I saw the unsaved number calling you so many times and thought it was a scam call, so I never picked up any of them. I didn't think that they would be from the hospital." Dylan didn't mind. He just thought of something and laughe

I checked the time on the wall clock, and she would be ten minutes early if she had been there already. "No, I'm still here in my office and just about to leave,” I lied. “Oh, thank goodness!” I heard her utter. She took a pause and sighed. I could hear her loud sigh from the other line like she was greatly relieved. “I called to tell you I have an urgent meeting to attend. I’m about to meet a big client of our company for whom I've been waiting for a long time. I don't want to let this opportunity pass. Can we reschedule our meeting? I know how hectic your schedule is, but it won't matter if that would be next week or month," she continued.
