Hazel says impatiently, cracking her knuckles together.
“Fine. Two nights ago, I made a fancy dinner and had a date at my house,” Missy says while finding my eyes. For some reason, she is looking at me more than Hazel. It’s slightly off-putting to be her focal point.
“Are you going to tell us who it was with? Or is that a secret?” I ask. Hazel starts to roll her eyes. Hazel has never been one to partake in the ways of female gossip. At least not in the way one would expect. Sure, she likes to listen to it, but when it drags on and on, she usually gets up and leaves. Finally, Hazel starts to stand up.
