Monstrous Vampires Novels & Stories

I said, only a little sarcastic. “The only monsters in my house are you and me, and I can’t fit under your bed,” he said in a bland tone. “Har-har.” I mocked him. I didn’t want to think of myself as a monster, even if I was. “The most common in this particular city are Demons, Gargoyles, Vampires, and Witches. Werewolves do roam around here every now and then, but they like more open space for when they shift,” he continued like there had been no banter between us.

A female vampire shrieked when a werewolf tore open her stomach. Blood sprayed across the clearing. Pain twisted her expression. Any person who believed vampires remained beautiful during battle would have been horrified by the sight. Low-ranking vampires became monsters once they fully transformed. Bulging green and purple veins spread beneath their skin like diseased roots. Their eyes turned completely black. Their jaws extended unnaturally, exposing rows upon rows of jagged teeth that resembled those of a piranha more than a human. Nothing about them was attractive. Nothing about them was seductive.

The elevator door slid shut before he could recover. She collapsed against the wall, gasping. Her hands wouldn’t stop shaking. Through the closing gap, she saw him standing there. Staring at his hand. Then at her. His eyes glowed green. “Run all you want, mama,” he said. His voice carried through the metal doors like a promise. “I’ll find you.” The elevator sealed shut. Mireya slid to the floor, tears streaming down her face. She’d just burned a vampire. And now he wasn’t going to let her go.

His eyes are entirely pitch black, and he doesn’t look the slightest bit bothered even as Vanya chokes and sputters, her shaking fingers desperately trying to push his boot off. “I don’t hit women, Vanya. But I fight monsters and crush them because I can. And you…you’re just another breed of monster. The kind that is destined to die by my hands.” She coughs up blood, struggling to breathe. Her eyes are bigger than I’ve ever seen them, bulging in their sockets. She looks…terrified. Slowly, he moves his feet off her throat, and she chokes. I watch as he crouches in front of her, staring at her with a blank look on his face.

I was a monster too. "You're serious?" he asked. I looked up at him, straight in the eye and couldn't help but feel... something. Something that made my heartbeat so hard I was afraid that it would break right out from my ribs. Those red eyes were so...beautiful. they were unlike the eyes of other vampires. They spoke so many unspoken words, held so many secret nightmares and showed so many emotions. It was the most vulnerable I'd ever seen someone and to be honest, I was mesmerised at how raw his emotions were.

~~~ Amaya "Among the supernaturals, there are different types. Vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches, angels, demons and, elements. They all have different characteristics and abilities." Who would've thought that we had such creatures living among us? "The one who attacked you was a shapeshifter. They are known to be able to imitate any living form. They can change and impersonate any living being on this planet. They can be very dangerous. You might be having a normal conversation with your mom one day but it could be a shapeshifter and you wouldn't even know." As he spoke to me, a little piece of my memory from that night came back.

"With time, we'll get used to them." When we got home, I told Mom the stories the gas man had shared, but she shrugged it off. "It's just a harmless superstition, baby. Nothing is happening here. Can't you see? This place is amazing." Well, I guess she was right. But the way the townspeople told the stories, with wide eyes, and hushed tones.... it made it feel like more, than just bedtime stories. But despite all that... I never believed in monsters. Ghosts? Maybe. Witches? Of course. But vampires and werewolves? Please.... what a laugh. I may have a flair for the dramatic, but I had my limits.

"I suggest you play along like a good blood bag; you will last longer. Maybe get out on good behavior when your blood begins to sour." How could she? How could my own mother sell me to a vampire? That is what he was, right? Vampires had teeth, large fangs that sucked the blood of humans. They were to be nothing but monsters to frighten children and keep them out of the dark at night, but this, this man was anything but a man. He was a monster, and there were more of them.

Scarlett asked, still feeling a little bemused. "Well, yeah. There's the good Mythics - the magic users; Wizards, Fairies, Nymphs, any sort like that. But they're all mostly extinct. While Vampires, Werewolves, Serpentine, and others monsters...are the bad guys. The Dark Mythics. Ever heard of Van Helsingr?" He asked her. "As in...the old school legend Dracula killer? That Van Helsingr?" Scarlett rose her brows in amazement.

He says to me, his fingers brushing down my face to have his thumb caressing my lower lip fondly. “It was as we suspected,” His face morphs into a serious one with his brows knitting. “It was a group of deranged Vampires who’d lost all sense of rationality into their insatiable craving for blood to become full monsters. They’re insufferable and rampant in their attacks and they seem to be bolstering their numbers somehow”. “We’d suspected the hand of a fallen Sorcerer but, it's resembling something more of a defection- Ah, I shouldn’t bore you with such matters” He promptly cuts himself short, making me groan internally as opposed to my wry smile on the surface.
