The moon hung low in the sky, its soft, lunar glow bathed the landscape in an ethereal light, casting long shadows that stretched like dark fingers across the ground. The balcony, where Reyes stood tall and still, vulnerable and exposed, was bathed in a silver radiance that highlighted the contours of his naked form. His silhouette was stark against the moonlit backdrop, a study in contrasts of light and dark. The shadows danced around him, like dark spirits swirling at his feet.

And then… the shadows moved. From behind the altar, a figure emerged. Not Layla. Not a rogue. But something else entirely. He looked like a man carved from ash and smoke. Tall, lean, eyes like hollow moons. He bore no scars, yet his presence screamed of pain. He smiled — a hollow, too-wide grin. “You’ve brought it,” he said, voice layered with echo. “The key.” Kate’s breath caught. “The obsidian?” “The Heart of the Moon,” he whispered. “Left behind when your kind fled these halls. It binds fate. And blood.”

The leaves were thin, long, a blue so dark they looked black at first glance. Under the moonlight filtered through the glass — a moon that wasn’t the same one outside —, a purplish and greenish glow slowly traveled along each vein. It was like watching stars trapped inside the leaves. Alexei held his breath, his heart hammering against his ribs. “Lunaria Tenebris…” Lyra knelt in front of them. She didn’t touch them immediately; first she tilted her head, like someone greeting old friends. Then she spoke softly, her voice so gentle it almost blended with the whisper of the wind between the leaves.

The glow brightened. Then suddenly— Another faint light appeared beside it. A softer glow. Pale blue. Luna’s eyes snapped open. “What was that?” Mira smiled. “The Moon of Tides.” Luna stared at the glowing energy in her hand. “I can use other moons too?” “Not all of them,” Mira explained. “But some may answer your call.” Kael and Aeron watched from the hill below. Aeron whispered. “That’s new.” Kael nodded slowly. “And powerful.”

When she was younger, she frequently went on outings with her mother, during which time she got to witness a variety of stunning butterflies. She could still remember like it was yesterday how, whenever her mother sang with her clear voice, silver butterflies would appear out of nowhere. The sight of them always made Miren incredibly happy. These butterflies are called by Miren's mother's beautiful voice, and when the butterflies appear there will be a large swarm.

The sound of that strange name drew my attention back to the group and what I saw next was nothing short of wondrous. Little Leah was still in Luna Malaya's arms with Sarah and Julian right next to them, looking at Freya in wonder. And then there was Freya, who had been the person to utter those strange butterflies. Her hand was raised towards the baby's face and suddenly, a bright blue smoke formed in her hands and as it rose, out came a beautiful blue butterfly, larger than any normal butterfly I had ever seen. A glittery dust came out of its wings that shore like diamonds in the light and it rose even higher, leaving behind a trail of glitter dust in its wave.

At least, he was merciful in that regard. Rather than stare at the silhouette of her best friend out there in the darkness alone, Nya turned her attention to the moon. The light was just missing Gavin now, but it would move momentarily, and he’d be bathed in the soft, warm glow of the Dragon Moon, and then, a shadow would pass across the orb, interrupting the beams, and the dragon would swoop out of the sky, his sharp talons sinking into Gavin’s flesh before the dragon plucked him away, flying up into the night sky with him and likely devouring him before he even reached his lair somewhere on the top of Scale Mountain to the west.

I ask. "To create an army, an army of strong witches and Wizard, he also needs pure blood to keep his strength," my mother explains. Every new action on Serena’s part was faster, more decisive, and then—there was a bright flash from her, a burst of lunar energy that surged through the clearing. The warriors stood stock still, huge-eyed, as the gleam blazed through the black gulf of night. Serena gasped, stepped back and her sleeve fell back as well on her arm. It was there, on her skin, a mark. A swirling, crescent-shaped scar that glowed dimly, just like the one cut deep into the rogue’s tree.

He raised his head at Matt at the alarming question raised. "That should be this full moon." Alpha Andrea finally answered even with Fiona's intent to intrude, I smirked behind my puffy face from the food I was trying hard to masticate. "Oh I see, that is perfect timing, the season of the Moon Goddess, blessing the Aloha and his Luna, we could have what such auspicious date, but we're so engrossed in each other that as a common Gemma and Omega we choose a normal day." Matt let out his hand scrolling through his phone and Alpha Andrea's eyes were red, and the redness I could see calming to purple anytime soon.
