Most Popular Mystery Books Novels & Stories

Most things are about detectives and all their boring stuff but something tells me to go through it because I might know a thing or two. I've opened almost all the books on the first shelf. Turns out detective books are not so bad. I also passed out my time by checking some of the murder novels on the shelve. One really caught my interest. Dying to call you by Elaine Viet. It's about a girl finding her sister's murderer and all that.

Whenever I asked him what kind of private interview he did back then, he only smiles at me before ruffling my hair. Aside from that, it's pretty much a normal academy like the rest of the private schools here. There are different groups of students here. Of course, the most popular ones are the three girls who are just the same age as me. But unlike me, the trio earns a LOT, and I mean a lot of mutual respect from other students. They are probably from rich families thus the special attention they are naturally receiving. You know how it is in high school, the richer you are the more popular you are.

I smiled and brought out a new novel I got from the store the other day and opened the first chapter to read. There are like ten minutes before assembly starts so I can read at least a chapter or two before it starts. ‘Hmm… interesting’ i thought to myself. “Why didn't I know about this book already?” I muttered under my breath and turned to the next page. “Very interesting.” “I know it is,” I turned my head to see Chris put his bag on the desk beside me and sat down on the chair. “Even though I haven't read it, I know it is interesting”

"One of my all-time favorite books is 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho. Its themes of destiny, personal legend, and the journey of self-discovery really resonate with me. I also love romance novels." Phoenix raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "That's a classic choice, Star. Coelho's writing is so introspective." Dexter joins the discussion. "For me, I'm a big fan of non-fiction, particularly biographies of historical figures. 'Leonardo da Vinci' by Walter Isaacson is one I recently enjoyed. The depth of da Vinci's genius is truly inspiring." Astrid nods, impressed. "That sounds fascinating, Dexter. Da Vinci's life was truly remarkable."

It has never been my goal to impress my sister with anything I do. I scroll through the books in the library until I come to my favourite section, Mystery. I always love the thrill that comes with not knowing what's going to happen next. You can make it more interesting for yourself if you start to wonder what is happening and what will happen. I take a few glances through the books on the shelves and take a book that looks the most interesting out of all the books I saw. 'In the Woods' by Tana French.

I take one last look at myself until I strike a pose and say,"Perfect," I hear mom from downstairs telling me to hurry up, so I grab my book bag and put on my glasses and was about to leave my room until I remember my most important thing. I go to my book-shelf and pull out a book that reads, Gone Girl by Giliian Flynn on the front cover. I've always loved mysteries; I can't remember one day where I wasn't watching Criminal Minds or Goosebumps in my room.

"Any favorites?" "There's this series about ancient pack wars that's surprisingly well-researched. And I have a weakness for detective novels, though don't tell Carson. He thinks they're a waste of time, but I once caught him reading one and he was too focused on it to even know I was standing in the same room as he was." "Your secret's safe with me, maybe he just doesnt want to admit how good it is." She grinned. "I love mysteries too. Have you read the Inspector Blackwood series?"

She said furiously and I chuckled saying. "What happened you got up this early... and more to that reading a... book?" She raised a brow saying "Just because you often see me sleeping in the morning doesn't mean I sleep all night. And by the way. Reading is my hobby. And this is a Novel called Darling don't run away. Not just a book" I sat close to her as she was looking at my every action from head to toe. "What!?" I asked looking at her expression "Not. Nothing. It's just that. You're distracting." she said and i raised my brows

"Very good and unexpected, what made that novel get such an evaluation from you?" Before giving an explanation about this, Jessy first corrected her sitting position, drank her orange juice. "Because this novel is very full of mystery and unpredictable storyline,You will never suspect or be able to guess who committed the crime in this novel.All my guesses turned out to be wrong! But I like this novel even more." As far as David's knowledge, most women prefer the romantic, hot or humorous genre in a novel, but Jessy is different. This fact wasn't bad but it felt a little strange, the girl was back reading her book now.

I replied, "but I’ve never been one to watch the way horses walk. It's not my thing. Maybe it’s yours." She playfully gave me the finger and kept talking. "When I was younger, my favorite books were the Chestnut Hill series! Well, not my favorites of all time—that was definitely Nancy Drew." "Fuck Nancy Drew!" I didn't realize I’d said it out loud until she slapped my arm and frowned. "Nancy Drew will forever be the best mystery series, hands down. It’s iconic." "Okay, crazy lady. But I think the Hardy Boys were much better. Nancy Drew always has the same storyline. You can predict exactly what’s going to happen. There’s never anything new."
