"And?" "It talks about bonds that go beyond pack. Beyond species." He flipped it open to a marked page—an illustration of a wolf and witch standing beneath a full moon, their shadows intertwined. "It says some wolves recognize their mates outside their kind. That it’s not magic, but something deeper. Instinct." Alice hummed, tracing the rim of her cup. "And this troubles you?"

me?" I asked Elsa. She looked at my eyes and said "You still have the dragon's eye and now it is in both eyes. I am shocked that your dragon hasn't spoken to you yet. She should have by now." Just as Elder Elsa told me this, my dragon spoke to me. "Hello, Kara." I heard someone say in my head. "I opened the connection and I felt a protective and calming nature to it. "Hello!?" I replied "I am Mizuki. I am your dragon. I must warn you, these next few minutes are going to be the most painful you will ever have in your life and I promise I will try to make this as painless as possible." Mizuki said. "Um Elsa, Atlas. She just spoke to me. Her name is Mizuki and she told me I was about to shift.

How was it even possible something that large would fit into her narrow channel? Wait. Her channel? Unbidden the image of Mike Volka flashed in her brain, more moisture soaked her panties and heat crept up her cheeks. What was wrong with her? She put hands over Mischief's eyes. "Don't look, kitty." Jamie took a sip of her soft drink, a bite of her sandwich and chewed slowly as she turned the page. "Shape shifters mate for life, protecting their mates to the death. Emerson, Mist and Mya were destructive when put together. Mist was the youngest of the three, Emerson being fourteen, Mya thirteen and Mist, twelve.

I scanned the trees in front of us and my eyes fell into the grass with rash movements, just near a chir pine tree. “Quinn, East!” I shouted as I felt something from the east running in our direction. Quinn nodded and immediately positioned her bow to release the arrow with poison. With a bolt, Quinn calmly let go of the arrow when a big brown werewolf appeared. This is our first time to see a brown-haired werewolf, most of the hunts we’ve been to have black or grey fur. “Brown?” Rendall asked as we saw the arrow hit its leg and growl in pain.

“Young Mistress.” I looked at both my tamed beasts, but noticed the voice in my head wasn't coming from them. I softly inquired who it was; the voice calmly explained; it was none other than the Mystical Beast of Illusions, whom I'll henceforth name MBI for short. MBI slowly explained to me: “You're in an illusionary world. It's hard to tell if this world once existed, but one thing's for sure... that crimson-eyed tiger was a mystical beast. While inside your arerat symbol, I came to understand that you're gifted with the ability of absorbing mystical beasts.

But we are born to fight, we are born to do this. I let out a deep breath and surrendered to the transformation. My body elongated, fur sprouting from my skin, and my senses sharpened. The pain was brief, quickly replaced by the raw power and agility of my wolf form. My vision was clearer, my hearing more acute, and I could smell the metallic scent of blood in the air.

The witches closed in, their laughter echoing like a chorus of nightmares. Something inside Aqua snapped. A surge of dark energy, unfamiliar and terrifying, welled up within her. She felt her pendant grow hot against her skin, the clear crystal turning black as smoke. The air around her crackled with raw power as she turned back towards the attackers, her fear morphing into a blinding rage.
