Ako si Martin Del Rivas. Ang mga tao sa labas ay nakikita ako bilang perpektong senador, ang presidente sa hinaharap, ang bachelor na kinakikiligan ng bansa. Kinuha ko siya dahil kailangan kong itama ang mundo na pinabayaan niya at sa bawat araw na siya ay nakadapa sa harap ko, bawat luha na hindi niya dapat ipapakita, lalo akong nagiging alipin ng sarili kong galit. Akala niya libreng buhay ang kanyang makakamtan sa mansion ko. Akala niya kalayaan ang makikita niya sa bawat galaw ko. Pero mali siya. Ako ang may hawak, hindi lang ng katawan niya, kundi pati ng kanyang hininga, ng bawat takot at galit na sinusupil niya sa loob. At kahit nararamdaman ko ang pagbabago sa puso ko, kahit ang galit ay nagiging pangungulila, alam kong hindi ko siya kayang bitawan. Hindi ko siya kayang talikuran. Siya ang dahilan ng aking pagkawasak, at siya rin ang dahilan ng aking pagbangon. At sa bawat gabing ako ay mag isa, habang iniisip ang mga nagdaang trahedya, naiintindihan ko na ang laban na ito, ang pagmamahal at poot, ang obsesyon at pagkawasak ay hindi matatapos. Hindi kailanman. Sapagkat sa kanya ko naramdaman ang ganap na kontrol, at sa kanya ko rin naramdaman ang ganap na kawalan ng kapangyarihan.
