Blood: Tears of Darkness

Blood: Tears of Darkness

She is just trying to be honest. “You're welcome,” said Quan in the end, feeling the need to return her teacher's thanks, no matter how impudent the reason was. “And where did your answer come from, Quan Durbysch?” Mr. Kei asked while tilting his head. Realizing that all the eyes in the class were on her, Quan's head felt as if an invisible ant was biting her. “From the boring book entitled Children of the Night which is now in the museum,” Quan said finally. “People say it's just bullshit, I say it's interesting.”

"No, I don't. It's my first time hearing this?" "Huh-huh, really? Don't worry, you'll hear more and lots of this. Tell me, daughter... what's your favourite music?" "Favourite music?" I blushed for a while. "I don't listen to music... maybe Al-qunut." "Imagine? Is that even music?" She bursted with a funny kind of laugh. "I still wish I can be like you. Tell me, who's your favourite quran reciter?" "Al -Minshawi and Sudais. They're simply the best."

The Slave Queen

The Slave Queen

I wonder why it's been sealed off in the dark corner of an even longer and darker corridor. I pull one of the books off the shelves and look at the title. It is a very old book, with writing barely legible. I must test my skills in reading Hausa. "The Origins" is what the title says. I open the first page and begin to read. It happened long ago that Q'waeti journeyed all over the land setting the people aright and instructing the people that would come in the future how they should act. Q'waeti instructed the people on how to build houses. One day Q'waeti

It seems like it's been long since they last use the library by how dusty it looked. My mouth forms a thin line this will be my resting place. Not knowing that by entering this room I've gotten myself into trouble. There are lot of books to choose from. My eyes catches one with the name 'The shy girl: A Muslim story' I flipped open the front page reading through, the book seems interesting. Keeping it aside, I scan through other books, coming across one with Jawad written boldly on the cover. it looked like a diary. Curiosity got me and I find myself turning over the first page Jawad mustafa written on the first page, my brows furrowed in confusion. Why is it jawad Mustafa instead of jawad A

The Unwanted Bride Book 1

The Unwanted Bride Book 1

Someone who doesn't give up on anything she does. "Do you want to read the Quran with me?", she asks holding two Qurans that she had placed near the couch. "How about I read and you listen? Is that okay with you?", she added when I didn't answer her. "Okay". She placed one of the Qurans back in its place and then opened the other one and started reading. I was not only mesmerized by her character but now she is making me admire her more. I couldn't look away even if I wanted to because of the way she read the Quran. Her voice was the only thing that I could hear from her.

I smiled as he nodded again, his brown hair bouncing around as he leaned in a little closer. I opened the book and started flipping through the pages, looking for a good story or myth to read to him. I paused for a moment at the title page that read ‘The All Mother and the Sacred Four’, tilting the book towards Calix. He smiled and scooted closer, nodding again as I turned the final page and cleared my throat.

She had a variety of the red bumpshorts, they all decided to go for the red color. Now they were lying on her bed, facing the ceiling, so chilled. Having drinks, it was hot. "So friend! The Embrace Of The Lycan King

The Embrace Of The Lycan King

She had accepted that she wouldn't have children or a family of her own. Her deep thoughts were interrupted when a child approached her with storybooks. The child handed her the books and smiled. "Can you read us a story, Luna?" the child asked politely. Her smile broadened, and she took the storybook. As soon as she opened the first page, she laughed when all the children gathered around her, sitting on the bermuda grass. Abby sat on her lap. "Okay, pups, I'll read you a story. But after the story, I'll ask you questions about what happened in the story, okay?" she asked, and they responded in unison, "Yes, Luna!!" She began reading, and the story wasn't too long, so they didn't take an hou

Out of My League

Out of My League

“Time for a little story. No pressure, but this one’s important. Gotta have that legacy.” Nik blinked slowly at the pages, completely quiet. He watched intently as I read, voice hushed and monotone. It was a simple book, designed for early readers, full of art in primary colors and a watered-down retelling. The battle for the temple, the miracle of the oil, and the general message of standing up for what’s right. Nik probably didn’t understand any of it yet. He was probably just entranced by the scarlet robe on Judah Maccabee, or the golden gleam of the lamp. But I believed it didn’t matter.

This is a love at first site story you can actually believe happens in real life. The twists and turns make you swoon with how sweet they are to each other when doing normal every day things as well as protecting and defending each other from their families.
