Today, My best friend Mia was celebrating her seventeenth birthday, and the entire pack was set to gather and celebrate the beta’s daughter. Being the daughter of the beta came with certain privileges, and today’s party was going to be nothing short of grand. Dignitaries from other packs were invited, and, of course, our Alpha and his family would make an appearance. The celebration wasn’t just for Mia’s birthday, her father, who had spent the last several years studying law among the humans, had finally returned with his degree.

“He’s not wrong.” “You shouldn’t be the one punished for it,” Roy said. “He’s not the enemy, Dad,” she whispered. “I thought he might be at first, but…” She trailed off, then glanced up at her father. “He’s not.” Roy leaned back against the counter, sipping his drink. “No, he’s not. He’s a good Alpha. But he’s under pressure, and the pack’s on edge.” They drank in silence for a while. The quiet was filled with tension, but not the bad kind. More like the kind that came when truths hovered just below the surface.

There came an alpha towards them. Alpha picked up that little boy in his arms and said " Alphas never cry, my boy. Stay strong and defeat your own crisis. Ok". By hearing his father the little boy nodded his head. Then the alpha raised his kid above his head and said " That's my pup". Then the boy giggled, the sweet omega seeing them with loved filled eyes.

“Now stop looking at me like I’m a stray you want to adopt. It makes my skin crawl.” Maya bit her lip. “We’re worried about them. The boys. They left for the East at dawn. No word since. The mountains are… dangerous. Zephyr Veyl’s pack doesn’t negotiate. They kill.” I leaned back and swirled the wine. Watched the legs trail down the glass like tiny red rivers. “They’re Alphas,” I said again. “They’ll come back. Or they won’t. Either way, the world keeps turning.”

I felt so nervous as I walked in with Sylvia and the rest and my eyes started going around immediately could any of the Alphas be there? Of course! I could see a lot of them already – sitting in different packs, different halfly-dressed ladies sitting on their thighs and giving them pleasure while they drank and laughed with hilarity. My eyes searched around for two Alphas, but I didn’t see either of them. And when I didn’t see them, I discovered I was looking for three Alphas because I started looking for someone else. Alpha Leo. But I couldn’t find him either. Where could he be? He must have attended, right?

But Perses burst into laughter, "I admit, she is an interesting one. Didn't know you were so easy though. You disappoint me, Erebus." "Tell me." Erebus repeated, only this time, there was danger in his tone. Perses flinched a bit at the dominance Erebus was showing. Yes, they were both alpha, but there were differences between alphas of different packs, and Perses wouldn't hate Erebus so much if he was the one who had the upper hand in that. "Get me out of this trouble, and THEN I'll tell you." Perses dialed down a bit the playful act, but that was not cooperating enough.

Alex looked over to where Ash was looking and saw four people. One was a long, black-haired female with good style who looked older and clearly was an alpha. And an arm was wrapped around her by a man who is clearly his mate, and he is also Alpha. Next to them was a boy who was like a teenager's kid and was also an Alpha. He was holding hands with a pretty lady with brown, shaggy hair and glasses. She was a beta. He saw the four of them make their way towards a table. Alex looked over at Ash and grabbed his hand gently as he led them to the table his siblings were at with their drinks in their free hands.

I corrected him with a smile I'm sure irked him. "You have not yet assumed the alpha position so it's safe to say you are still a boy. Besides, what's an alpha without a pack? You and your pack members are more like rouges now. Roaming with no direction," Alpha Hemp looked so satisfied as he uttered all those rubbish.
