Half the cupcakes have pink and the other half have blue centers. The baker placed the cupcakes tightly together, forming a circle. A giant black question mark adorns their white icing tops. I never saw a cupcake-cake until the bakery showed it to me this week. It is perfect. It looks like a cake, but the cupcakes can easily pull apart and consumed.

Beggar “Someone, and before we know it, the entire Clubhouse would know.” Hearing Jo's sneakers skidding on the floor, I get up off my chair as she comes running into the bar area holding two cupcakes instead of the muffins. They don't have frosting on it as yet, but these are the red ones, my favourite. “Thanks kid.” I take the one and wink at her, as I take a big bite. Jo bites into hers too, the kid is cute.

"Nice," Min Jun said and took a bite, it looked so creamy and soft and I wanted a taste too, I stretched my hand and picked up a cupcake. "vanilla," he said. I bit into it and met vanilla fillings in the middle, "This is perfect," I said with my mouth full of food.

He pulled out a box from behind his back, the delicious scent wafting through the air. Alison's eyes widened with sheer excitement, and I couldn't help but giggle. "Well played, Aidan. You've officially won over my daughter's heart with those cupcakes." Aidan smirked, his voice teasing. "Oh, I'm just getting started. Next, I'll teach her the art of ninja cupcake baking." I raised an eyebrow at him, and my curiosity piqued. "Ninja cupcake baking? Is that even a thing?" He winked at me. "Oh, it most definitely is. And I assure you, it's the secret to eternal happiness."

“Seems like it.” “Alrighty.” Nancy moved to the display case and placed two cream puffs into a white paper box. Folding the lid inward, she explained, “Sush doesn’t take more caffeine when she’s stressed like that. In the last few months when she looked like she was losing it, I normally treated her to one of these babies or matcha cupcakes. Since the cupcakes are sold out, this is our only option.” As Nancy jabbed the numbers on the cash register, she asked, “She sent you to get them?” “No,” Greg replied curtly, placing a note on the counter and saying, “Keep the change.”

I sighed. “No bed.” Violet pouted. “But Violet, the sooner you go to bed, the sooner you can wake up and try Miu’s pancakes.” I suggested. “Pancakes?” Violet perked up. “Mhm. And these aren’t ordinary pancakes. They are not like what you ate at the dinners. These are Japanese pancakes. They are big and fluffy and so yummy. I’m so jealous.” I sighed. “Yay, pancakes! Night night!” Violet exclaimed as I heard the phone be dropped. “I’m so sorry she dropped the phone in excitement. Did you just promise her pancakes?” Ivy asked.

I called everyone with kids who knew about Aeryn and Elora and told them to come for lunch. Sue entered the packhouse with Talllah and the kids, while Zayn followed in behind her. Katy, in a simple gray t-shirt and jeans, jumps off from the counter and meets me halfway in the small seating area of the bakery. She outstretches her hand, "Hey, I'm Katy. Anessa is the cheerful one and then Tabitha. Do you want a cupcake? Chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting is most often selected in these situations."

MILA'S POV "Are you actually trying to murder me?" Spencer, my desk neighbor and work rival stares at the box on his desk as if it contains live rattlesnakes. Which it really doesn't.
