“We’ve exhausted our supplies treating the refugees. The illness spreading among them—it feels unnatural.” Jorah frowned. “What type of illness?” “Their wolves remain unresponsive,” she answered, her tone subdued. “It’s as if the curse is ensnaring their spirits between forms. I’ve never encountered anything like it.” He cursed softly, directing his gaze back toward the valley. “Then we will purge it. Whatever that darkness is, it shall not invade this fortress.” Mira hesitated before inquiring, “And what if it’s already inside?” The statement hit him like a dagger. He whirled around, his eyes narrowing. “What are you implying?”

Shadows flicker red beneath my door now, dancing like cruel spirits. “Run!” The word echoes in my skull. The door bursts inward in a spray of sparks and splintered wood. Flames roar behind a towering silhouette. A man steps through the fire. I cannot see his face — only the outline of him carved in burning light. And his eyes. They glow. Not with reflection. With power. The world fractures into red and gold. Heat devours everything. The scream tears from my throat— I wake choking on smoke that isn’t there. My room is dark. Quiet. Whole.

“How do I weaken it? I really want it to go forever and I know it's going to take a lot but if I can reach it until after the birth of my child, I'll find a way to get rid of it completely.” She turned and walked slowly across the room, her fingers brushing against ancient symbols on the wall. “You must give up part of what feeds it. It's a very simple logic. Give up what feeds your curse and it stays silent but if you keep feeding it, it fattens just like when you feed a cow. You must not feed it what it wants.” I frowned. “What does that even mean? You got to stop speaking in parables. I'm too dyslexic to understand.”

Drawing upon the power of the Heartstone and the bond she felt with the cursed creature, Luna closed her eyes and reached out with her mind. "Calm... calm your anger," Luna whispered, her voice filled with a soothing tone. She focused on the connection she felt with the cursed creature, searching for any flicker of understanding within him. "We didn't mean to betray you. We only wanted to free you from the curse that bound you."

His words were contained with conviction, and I believed him "I'm a cursed wolf, my power is like a double-edged sword so extreme and powerful, yet wildly unpredictable. I can't control when I shifts, I always loose control and unleashing havoc on those around me. The memories of my past victims haunt me, every I closed my eyes,Every full moon, I'm consumed by a fury and always leave behind atrail of bloodshed." I said to him.

Sachem Nadura said and gazed at the cloud of strength that was clearly visible to all directions of these Eternal Prisons. His eyes concentrated and punctured through the camouflage of power upon the vortex of its origins. At the center was a boy. A marred being coupled with his list of sickness. His broken body may have been spectacularly pitiful but what called Sachem Nadura’s attention most was the tattooed symbols on the forehead of the boy. It was the mark of the Cursed. Someone who has done an unforgivable sin in his past life. And not just one but a whole lifetime of evil and immorality.

The peaceful garden had become a scene from hell itself. “You cannot escape the fate that has already been written for you,” the entity hissed, using Aunt Gellie’s mouth. “It is imprinted in your blood, in your personality, and in your cursed ability to see creatures that do not belong to the world of the living. When this ends… you will be mine.”

It’s not that I don’t accept what he said, because I do, and intend to go by it, but it’s the way he said it that seemed strange. It was almost like he knew Rome wouldn’t be coming back anytime soon. I get better over the next few days, I can eat now, I sleep with little to no nightmares, and I can stay almost the entire day without mental ritual images plaguing me. Imagery is such a weird thing; it’s one of the things that falls under both the Curse bracket and the Blessing bracket. It’s nice when you can picture everything that is said, that you read, it’s amazing, but when you see something you probably shouldn’t have seen, and then you can’t unsee it…well, it really fucking sucks.

It was pictures of some of the different Cursed that we had captured. “Oh, this again.” She frowned and clicked her tongue. This again? What did she mean by that?

They chewed their lips, thinking hard, tongue poking out. After a moment, they carefully crossed out the E with a shaky line and wrote, in big letters above it: CURSED (BUT COOL). Naomi lost it. “That’s going on your hypothetical future book cover,” she declared. “Right under your epic author photo.” “I look terrible in photos,” I said. “Legendary,” she corrected. Later, in bed, after the pups had been herded away and the elders had grumbled themselves out of the den, I lay with the comic on my chest, Ronan’s arm draped over my waist.
