Rosalind whispered, her voice barely audible over the rustling leaves.
Under the full moon's glow, the baby transformed. Tiny paws emerged, followed by a fluffy coat of soft, silver fur. The pack held its collective breath as the baby's features shifted, her little nose elongating into a button nose, her ears pointing upward.
And then, piercing the night air, came the baby's first howl. The sound was raw, pure, and hauntingly beautiful. Pack members cheered, their voices echoing through the forest.
Cathryn beamed with joy, her eyes shining with tears. "She's a true wolf," Cathryn said, her voice filled with pride.
