She takes his trembling hand in both of hers, her thumb brushing over his knuckles in a soothing motion. “It’s okay, Enzo. You’re safe. We’re right here with you.”

Taking a deep breath and hissing in annoyance, Kenzo knocked on the door of Khanza's bedroom. "Khanza? Something's wrong?" Kenzo asked firmly. No reply. Kenzo's forehead frowned again. After the noise that had continued a while ago, it was now very quiet inside. He doesn’t know what happened to him, but he couldn't stop the wild beating in his heart. It feels so tight. His body suddenly became cold and sweaty. One hand clenched tightly until it turned white. He's scared. No, not because he was afraid of the invisible creatures that had been bothering him all this time. Kenzo has been used to it since childhood. It's just that, now he's afraid that ... something might happen to Khanza.

Scared. Scared of Neo. When the hell did that happen? Zeke used to snarl at thunder and bite down on fear. But now? He looked like every other wolf in this place—cautious. Controlled. Tame. "Unlike everyone else, he doesn't scare me." I offered him a wink and a smirk. And that was the truth. Neo might've been Alpha, but he bled red like the rest of us. He was a bully with a title, not a god. I hadn't even seen his wolf in years. For all we knew, he'd lost his edge. Grown soft.

How could someone act as natural and terrifying as that? After feeling safe, Sam lowered Luna from his body. They stood in an alley filled with cobwebs. Luna's heart was beating very fast, whether it was because the zombie was very scary or because she was nervous about being in Sam's hug. Renzo peeked at her nervously through his eyelashes. Luciano couldn't hold back a deep chuckle. “Okay, little man, let's get one thing straight. Your mommy is beautiful, not scary, when she's angry. Remember?” Renzo was quiet for a moment, thinking it over, before he finally nodded. “Yeah, that's right. It was a video I watched. In the video, they said mommies are scary when they get angry.” Luciano shot Rosa a pointed look and shook his head. “I told you he's watching too many videos.”
