He pressed the side button. The screen went black.
"Walk."
"What?"
"Normally."
I stared at him.
"Adrian"
"Walk."
There was something in his tone that pulled me forward before fear could root me to the pavement. Side by side, we began walking. Not too fast, not too slow. Just two people crossing a quiet street at dawn. I counted every step. One, two, three, nothing. No footsteps, no voice,no movement.
By the time we reached the next intersection, I couldn't stand it anymore.
