Old Queen Athena Novels & Stories

My enhanced hearing picked them up regardless. "—clearly bewitched him somehow—" "—no way the Moon Goddess intended this pairing—" "—servant girl as Alpha Queen? The old King would roll in his grave—" Athena growled within me, her presence sharpening like a blade against my consciousness. ‘I've heard at least three people claim you're some kind of witch that's bewitched the King, because this could never have been destined,’ she snarled. ‘Should tear out their throats. Show them what happens when they disrespect our position.’

I sat with the weight of the pack resting on my shoulders like a second skin. The elders slowly filed in. Elder Mira, filed in first with stern-faced. Elder Baldwin filed in next, scratching his chin thoughtfully. Others followed, each carrying an air of unease. A few warriors escorted Helen in. Her eyes were hollow, her hair disheveled. She looked smaller than I remembered, but there was still defiance in the way she held her chin. And then he entered. Elder Thompson.

When I’m not. These women probably ran the whole supernatural world. While the men were always roaring and yelling in each other’s face about who is who. I know women are the key players in that game of chess. If the queen is protected. Everything is going well and you can make great moves. And when shit goes south, the queen protects the king. I’m guessing this is where you get your warriors and foot soldiers for protection. “The one and only,” Daciana smirks proudly. “Wait, I have heard that he was with someone. The daughter of that small pack’s alpha.” She stares at me with widened eyes. “It makes sense now. I have never seen someone as pretty as her.”

"King Athena of Antarti pack," "By Luna, you make me jealous," Meredith said. "Why?" "A woman King? Impressive! I wished I could pull that feat, honestly. From what I've heard, you fear no one at all. Not many women would actually stand up to a pack and declare herself King," Eucaria rolled her eyes. "Not any woman will. Athena is the only woman. Her name already tells who she is. The Greek goddess of war. You are indeed fearless," If these women were flattering her, it was real work. Her cheeks were red from the good things these women said about her. This was her first time being talked about this way and it made her swell with pride.

The old lady finally stopped circling me. “So, who is she?” Cayden asked. He was still standing beside me and from his tone, I could tell he was already getting bored with the whole thing. “She’s the Alpha Queen, that’s who she is. And you all are meant to tremble before her. Nothing mysterious there!” Cayden answered his own questions. Okay, he’s fed up alright, and he’s not shy to show it. “Oh, the fierce one.” The old lady turned her attention to Cayden.

One of Athena’s attendants, smaller, younger, flinched at his words. Guilt. Zane noticed. He didn’t call it out. Yet. Athena moaned again, far more dramatically this time, and fluttered her eyes open just enough to whisper, “The… omega… she…” I held up a thermometer. No fever. No sign of internal trauma. She wasn’t dying. Just conveniently “weakened.” The whispers turned into accusations. "She poisoned her!" "Doctor or not, she is still a low-born omega!" "She wants the crown!"

From inside, she could see that his room was dimly lit. She pushed it open gently. And there he was. Zeus, shirtless and sweating, tangled in bedsheets with a blonde who she recognized as one of the Omegas of his pack, moaning beneath him. His hand gripped her thigh. His mouth was on her neck. Athena didn’t make a sound. She simply closed the door again and turned away. She felt utterly disappointed. Zeus was her second choice. Her stupid, desperate second chance after Torin. She walked back to her quarters like a ghost. Her chest burned. Her heart, though, was numb. ‘You fool,’ she thought. ‘You keep chasing thrones through men who never saw you.’

Aloric said, bowing at the alpha king before exiting from the room. Aiden turned around, looking at the room, the room had nothing changed, it was the same way he has left it. He walked to the cupboard, which served as a closet, gently he opened the closet and was surprised to see that his old clothes were still hanging just the way he had kept it, all the clothes he had worn for his short stay in the land of the Ithakis was made by queen Elena herself, the wife of king Aloric, she was the queen of the Ithakis, even in death she was still the queen, until a new queen is found, then shall her queen ship be taken away from her. The last he had worn these garments was fifty years ago.

She also blushed a bit when the senior she adores talking to her. "So, what is the title of your project, senior?" Xui Li touches one of the ancient pillars sculpt by Athena. Amazed by her work. "Goddess of spring." Just after Athena said that, a girl who just looks like the senior comes out with her face, which Athena has made over. She makes her look like an ancient goddess from Greek myth, Persephone.
