She replied smoothly. “Oh-“ I muttered, disappointed that I wasn’t getting anything from this conversation. “You said you were going to the bathroom and all of a sudden you were nowhere to be found so I just assumed you left. I had no choice but to go home alone.” She continued. “What’s wrong though?” She asked. “I just woke up to see myself in the bed of a stranger” I whispered esparatedly. The pressure is suffocating. As I reach the bottom step, I brace myself for a feeling. I’ve been told that when I meet my One, I’ll feel it immediately. My mother always spoke of a pull, a connection so strong that it’s undeniable. She felt it the moment she laid eyes on my father. She said it was like a magnetic force, drawing them together in an instant. So as I step into the ballroom and the crowd parts slightly, I wait for that feeling.
