𝙇𝙊𝙂𝘼𝙉 I arrived at the location where I was supposed to meet Ox and Pierre. The Onyx Room A private, soundproof lounge wrapped in black marble and silence. The kind of place where secrets are born and people disappear. This is where I carry out most of my demonic work… where I meet my clients. And when I say clients, I mean the kind of people who pay to see someone die. If it isn't about killing someone, then I'm not interested in that shit.

Just like every other day, except the times he was tired and badly needed rest or when he was extremely busy, Alexander Clay's driver headed towards Blingz the moment they left the company. Alex kept himself busy with his iPad, doing some work-related stuff. It helped him pass away time during the ride to the club. Blingz was a very popular club in Chicago, yet very expensive. It was known to accommodate and cater for the likes of Alexander Clay who were the high-class people of the society. The club was also a private one with high security.

Damon’s POV The Griffin Marauder rolled to a stop in front of Club X, the infamous hottest, and most dangerous club in New York. It was where any, and everything went down, from drug dealing, to prostitution, to gambling. It was the heart of New York’s crime underworld, and I owned this fucking place. It was not just one of the very many businesses I owned; it was the most successful, and deadliest. I stepped out of the car, adjusting my pitch-dark suit jacket as my eyes roamed around the vicinity of the club. There were girls, and women, littered on every corner, calling out to the staggering men who passed them on their way to the entrance of the club.

“I can do anything, man. Question is, how deep in the shit do you want me?” I leaned forward, elbows on the desk, fingers steepled. I dropped my voice to that quiet place that makes even my own men sweat. “Club Orion. Tomorrow night. Dave’s there every Thursday. Private poker in the back room, then the VIP floor until the sun comes up. I need you to get next to him. Close. Drink and take puffs with him, laugh at his garbage jokes, become the brother he never had. And while you’re doing it, you lift every offshore account number he’s got. Quiet and clean. No fingerprints.”

It was around eleven-thirty when they left the club, and it was not even twelve-ten when Kath arrived at a low, old building located in one of the few completely residential neighborhoods in Philadelphia. It was quite different from the skyscraper where she lived, closer to Market Street, where the company offices were located. It reminded her of the place where she had grown up but, more importantly, it had the same unpretentious charm as the person she had gone to see there.
