The prince let go of me, and I forced myself to my feet.
The throne shadows turned violent.
Madness’ crimson eyes swept across the graveyard, raking the thin air, hunting every inch to find me.
As I staggered toward the graveyard’s gate, no one turned to look at me.
No one noticed me when I walked past them — I was indeed invisible.
A thunderous growl rumbled through the dark storm.
In search of me, darkness bled into the air, tendrils of shadows lashing and twisting to strangle the winds and capture whatever they might be hiding.
