EMERGENCE: The Subnatural Chronicles

EMERGENCE: The Subnatural Chronicles

Theryn’s eyes gleam, their blade raised, and the city’s pulse surges, the Overveil’s gaze burning. I’m the Convergence—guardian and teacher—and as Theryn’s challenge looms, Cassia’s fire, Renn’s loyalty, Maddox’s hope, Sylvara’s resolve, Aelys’s voice, Lysara’s redemption, Zorath’s spark, Valthor’s unity, Lirien’s defiance, and the keepers’ fragile truce stand with me. The Veil’s heart endures, but the Overveil’s truth stirs, and with the new realm trembling, I face a battle that will forge our legacy.

Love this book! Ainslee is amazing character, she is fiesty, has a fiery temper and such a beautiful heart. Rafe is very noble, has a fighting spirit and knows what he wants! The story is fascinating, strong character growth and wonderful storytelling! I can't wait for more updates.

Awesome underrated book. Totally glad I gave it a shot. Ainslee is a spitfire despite how grim things were. Great plotline with lots of heat, twists and drama to keep me invested. Some typo errors but has good grammer so understandable. Would be interesting to have baby drake’s story

Emperor Shadow

Emperor Shadow

He stammered, his thighs close together and his body turned rigid. “Why so?” Elijah turned her head for the second time, her long hair fell at the side, with her large eyes blinking at him innocently. “Becau- because Overlord conquered the territories at a speed of lightning. Over- Overlord accomplished an achievement that not even demons could achieve.” He played with his fingers, trying to control his nervousness because Shadow knew how nervous he was. Shadow glimpsed at James, who reduced into like a scared new student entering the bully’s den. “What happens before the ruling of the demons?”

Alpha Verses Omerian, Book 1 - Royal Wolf Of Zidiah Series

They arrived this afternoon and are already working with the Royal troops on the plan’s next step. Orrin also called Tobias, the oldest living dragon shifter in existence, the first of his kind. Tobias is hundreds of thousands of years old, and Orrin hopes Tobias knows who Thomas is and where he came from. Each shifter of every species is ruled by their King or Queen, Emperor or Empress. Every monarch has data on every person in their realm. Though I’m sure, the same goes for hybrids outside of wolf shifters. Goddess, I was so ignorant to anything other than my own kind. Sure, I know many things, enough to get by anyway, but I know nothing of importance.

The Alpha and His Omega

The Alpha and His Omega

“Fight now! Warriors, attack him! Attack these people!” No one moved, as the command must come from Bill as the highest leader. Then Elder Fred elbowed Bill. Finally, Bill shouted, “Attack!” Some werewolves ran toward us, but my warriors were ready. They blocked them, and in no time my warriors could conquer those werewolves. I stepped forward. “Let’s not involve the innocent ones in our affair. I challenged you to a one-on-one fight. If I win, your pack will be mine. If I lose, you can do anything you want to me.”

An Alpha's End

An Alpha's End

A ghost of a smile appeared on her lips but it eventually vanished. “He went out first. The team needed him immediately.” I nodded and shyly stood up from bed. Of course, he’s the Alpha. Why would he even wait for me, right? I just fixed myself before docking from the ship. My mouth dropped open when I saw the situation outside. Trees were lifeless. I don’t even think there’s life here. Buildings and houses were destroyed and burned. This has become their life? In all of my years in experience, I have never saw something like this. Even being a Warrior Witch, I have never seen something like this.

Vampire Oblivion

Despite his disgust with messy, splattered blood. He ended up snuggling his head deep in the woman's throat. She immediately flinched at his action. She's scared that the man holding her right now might be the last straw... One bite from him and she will definitely snap out of life. But instead of a nerve-racking fang, she felt his tounge glide through her wounds. Lapping all the flowing blood on her neck and sniffing every single second like a hungry animal. Tales of the Throne

Tales of the Throne

"Anyways, the war went on for hundreds of years, the killing and bloodshed was constant but eventually the war was ended by the King of Avingora." Katherine knew that there was no kingdom called Avingora, at least not in her time period. "Who's the King of Avingora?" "My cousin," Katherine turned her head to look at Lady Nicole who had spoken. Her face scrunched up in confusion but before Katherine could say anything, Nicole continued speaking. "Lucian Williams." Katherine was shocked, to say the least, "What happened to Avingora?" "The Kingdom was burnt to the ground during the final battle," said Lady Elizabeth.

I dug into 'Overlord' volume 17 like I was hunting for hidden loot, and what I found felt like a slow-burning chess match that still explodes when the pieces clash. This volume leans hard into the political and psychological aftermath of Nazarick's moves: Ainz is still consolidating power, but the story spends more time showing how those around him react — allies who embrace his vision, subordinates who quietly worry, and outside powers that begin to change their calculus. The heart of the plot is less about nonstop battles and more about the subtleties of dominance: diplomatic posturing, assassinations that almost succeed, and careful displays of force meant to intimidate without overreaching.

We also get several quieter, character-focused beats that matter. Some members of Nazarick carry out secret missions, and their methods reveal how ruthlessly calculated the Tomb’s leaders have become. There are scenes that peel back emotional layers — jealousy, loyalty, the weirdness of living under an undead overlord — which makes Ainz’s internal solitude and the loyalty of followers like Albedo and Demiurge feel more poignant. The novel toys with the idea that power can create its own loneliness, and it juxtaposes majestic displays of strength with intimate, unsettling moments where the human cost is hinted at.

By the end the volume sets up future tensions: new alliances form against Nazarick, and yet there’s a sense that Ainz’s web keeps tightening. It’s a satisfying mix of strategy, eerie domesticity inside the Tomb, and looming geopolitical shifts, and I walked away thinking this is where the series stretches its muscles in nuance rather than spectacle — which, to me, is delightfully sinister.
