I was almost ready to accept that I might fail. Just as I was about to turn away, something caught my attention. At the far end of the shelves, deep in the corner, I noticed a book that did not belong with the others. It was pushed aside and partly covered by dusty and forgotten books that no one seemed to touch anymore. This book looked much older than the rest. Its cover was very weak, and the leather was dry and broken. The color had faded over time. As I looked at it, I felt a strong feeling inside me. Something deep within told me that this book could hold the answers I had been searching for all along.

I looked at the book and I saw a paper sticking out of it. "Open that page Grey." He saw what I was pointing at and there was a piece of paper sticking out of it. It was torn. "It's a torn page. I'm not surprised. The book is centuries old." I looked at the page and it hit me. "That page isn't from that book." Grey was surprised and watched me as I opened my bag and rummage through it. I pulled out the book he had given me and opened the page the was torn. I took the page from Grey and it perfectly lapsed with mine.

I acted like I wasn't interested in whatever they were talking about, but my ears were actually listening to their discussion. I turned the torch on my phone and investigated the page, nothing looked different but then I turned the book to look at the bottom of the page and noticed there was a small gap. Almost like there were two pages stuck together, I try to pull them apart with my fingers but I was worried about ripping the page and having to pay to replace the book in the library.

Serenity turned the next page of the book again instantly. "Hey, how come some of the pages are torn out? But why, I can't get any other information if the next page isn't there." Serenity muttered and continued to turn the pages of the book, but still could not find the paper shreds of the missing pages. Serenity was annoyed.
