The Cruel Millionaire's Surrogate

The Cruel Millionaire's Surrogate

Something felt…off. The skin on my arms pebbled. A hand touched me, making me jump. I sighed a breath of relief when I realized Nori was the source. “Mama.” I smiled and reassured her. “It’s okay. It’s fine. I’m just paranoid,” I expressed as I set her in her playpen. I rounded the small apartment to check the windows. “This isn’t a bad neighborhood. Yeah, it has its issues occasionally, but you’re more likely to have your car broken into than be murdered, you know?” I rambled. I glanced back, and Nori was perfectly content eating her hands, giving me her blessing to continue to revel in my paranoia. “I don’t think anyone is watching us. Who could possibly be watching us? There are no convic

Fractured

Fractured

The ocean in his eyes was darker than usual, a storm pulling in its horizon. “I agree,” he said. “The way our thoughts bleed into each other, the way our instincts cross… it’s useful in a fight. But outside of that?” His jaw flexed. “It’s a breeding ground for paranoia. And paranoia will kill us faster than anything that lives beyond the Veil.” He didn’t look away. “So. What are you afraid of, Selene? Not the noble answer. The real one.” The question punched the air out of my lungs.

Haunted by the Mysterious Alpha

Haunted by the Mysterious Alpha

The woman with my parents chuckled. “Some illnesses follow this same pattern, a shifter suffers nightmares which if left untreated over the years can result to mental deterioration. They start seeing things that don't exist and sooner than later after they clock eighteen, they fail to shift as well. If left untreated, these sickness would result into something more vague.” “No, it's not true. I’m not sick, I saw it. There was a stranger, there was a box in the garden and I--”

Obsessed With My Husband's Step-Brother

Obsessed With My Husband's Step-Brother

I had no problems bathing in his fucking blood. He was a man who would always do criminal things no matter what the fuck the law says, so I knew it would stupid to depend on a fucking restraining order to keep him away. So, we had the house under twenty-four-hour surveillance, and Cora could not go anywhere without security. It’s not like she actually wanted to go anywhere in the first fucking place, because after she saw that damn depressing picture, she had fallen into some kind of paranoia where she thought the ass hole was going to come and take her away.

I hope I'm not wrong but to me the author of the book has not replied to any of the comments on whether she will give a proper ending or there will be a book 2. Have have supported your book and not giving us a reply is questionable right now.

I wish there would be happy ending after what all had happened, it’s very sad and I am not able to digest the sad ending. Author should have added the Epilogue or should publish the 2nd novel. It’s a request for the 2nd book!

Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children

Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children

“Why can’t I be concerned about my sister and her friend, but I have to be a bad person, who forbids my sister from getting involved with other people and even has bad thoughts about everyone around her?” Nerola was at a loss for words. Was she not just guessing? That was what the dramas showed, and she had also seen plenty of scripts like that. Alden hid the sharpness in his eyes and lazily said, “Nerola, do you have persecution paranoia? Do you need to be so defensive? You’ve watched too many silly dramas, haven’t you?” Nerola was speechless. She glared at the sharp-tongued man through the rear-view mirror before she looked away and looked out the window.

Ahh! I want more! This one was a real delight. The overall flow of the story was very interesting. I so love Addy and Duke, the power couple. At times, I'll hold my breath for what to come next. It's so eventful, to say the least. Pity all good things must come to an end.

Sarah Killian: The Marching Tides

Sarah Killian: The Marching Tides

“Please feel free to help yourself to the wet bar or the library while you wait. Though, please don’t take War and Peace off the shelf, as that’s the self-destruct trigger for the estate. We’ll be safe in here from the fallout, but I’m not entirely sure my closest neighbors wouldn’t be outside of the blast radius, and I’m pretty certain that would get me kicked out of the Homeowners Association.” “Why do you have it, then?” I ask, baffled by this strange, strange man. Frank just shrugs with another coy smile, and replies, “Always better to have a plan for a worst-case scenario and not need it, than need it and not have it.” I used to think I had a pretty decent grasp on the meaning of the wo

The pocket

The pocket

He was a ghost, a spectre haunting the decaying halls of the archive, a living testament to the devastating power of despair. One day, he found himself staring at the cylinder, his reflection superimposed onto its polished surface. The image was distorted, fragmented, mirroring his own shattered self. The anomaly’s hum seemed to intensify, vibrating through him with a raw, visceral force. He felt a connection, a disturbing resonance with the energy that pulsed through the cylinder, a feeling both terrifying and strangely comforting. It was as if the anomaly was speaking to him, not through words or sounds but through sensations, a deep, almost physical communication that resonated with the d

I hardly have slept for images of that dead girl and the fear of every noise. While I worry for him, I also fear him coming for me. Every sound or shadow cause me to lurch and jump. I have this feeling of an impending doom, like someone is out for me or going to betray me. Barima had told me once that before she got her premonitions, that she developed a strong paranoia, and that paranoia turned out to be advanced intuition. This does little to comfort me, only adding to my ever growing list of worries. Along with Noxodius possibly appearing out of nowhere.

Divorced By Mistake: My Ex-wife Becomes a CEO

Divorced By Mistake: My Ex-wife Becomes a CEO

Stevie’s POV Paranoia isn’t something that sneaks up on you all at once. It’s a slow, creeping thing that starts as a gut feeling, then plants itself like a weed, twisting and growing until it’s impossible to ignore. I used to think I wasn’t the kind of person who got paranoid. I’ve walked through dark alleyways with my camera strapped across my chest, flown to unfamiliar cities alone for assignments, trusted my instincts to keep me out of trouble. But tonight, I know for damn sure I’m being watched.

Pariah

Pariah

I never knew that this place existed in real life. Since I was young, I was locked up in an orphanage. And we aren't allowed to go out. I always wished that someone would adopt me. And that is my most regret in life. I thought I already saw rainbows and butterflies when Odin adopted me. But I was mistaken. The day he adopted me is the day my nightmare starts. I was just six years old back then when he brought me to The Ora. This is a secret criminal organization build-up of Hybrids and extraordinary beings with one mission: to destroy the world.
