For a second, the world seemed to stop. I stared at him, utterly stunned. Did he really just say that? Was he being serious? Love? But… when did that happen? And why was my heart suddenly racing at the thought? Agatha’s eyes widened in shock, her face drained of colour. She tried to speak, but no sound came out, and then just like that her eyes rolled back in her head and she collapsed to the ground. It was like something out of a slow-motion nightmare. One minute she was standing there, glaring at Finn, and the next, her knees buckled, and she collapsed.

I screamed. Footsteps started approaching us at a speed greater than that of a usual walk. "Eventually, you'll realize that you cannot escape your destiny," Agatha stated. Then she took out a pocket knife and unsheathed it. "What are you doing? Do you want to attack me with that?" I accused her again. On the contrary, Agatha smiled. "Break the seal. . ." She whispered. Then in a swift action, she slit her own throat. I gasped in shock.

Agatha approached me and placed both hands on either side of my head. I felt a surge of power rush into my head, but a sudden force pushed it out forcefully. Agatha gasped and let go of me like I had burned her. “You… what are you?” She asked, her eyes turning wide in horror. “Agatha, what happened? Couldn't you see her memory?” Someone asked. Agatha was still looking at me as she answered. “I've seen her memory and verified that Raven had turned dark… I saw her trying to kill them in that cave.”

Rhunar’s phone buzzed on the floor where it had landed earlier, the sound small and frantic in the silence, like an insect trapped under glass. Agatha lowered her arm slowly. She hadn’t even touched him. The power had rolled off her like a wave, instinctive and deadly. The air around her still seemed to vibrate with it, a faint shimmer of heat or pressure that made the hairs on their arms rise. Her eyes glowed faintly now, something unnatural flickering deep inside them. It was subtle but there—an echo of someone else’s power wearing her face. The blood bag dangled from her fingers, half-empty, the plastic crumpled where she gripped it too tightly.

“I convict myself of the death of Christie Claricel. I should have listened to her. I have sinned and I am going to hell—if there is hell at all. Yet, I am living in my own personal hell on Earth. Retribution is a must. There needs to be payback.” Shaking in tears, Agatha took off her undershirt revealing her brown body and abnormally skinny frame. Her ribs jutted out of her skin like canyons on her torso. Her arms were frail and flesh seemed to protrude to the surface—like her skin was glued to her bone. Agatha pulled up a ray’s whip in front of her, barbed at the very end.

“I’m not a parasite.” “Really? Then please tell me what you can do without draining those around you. I know you don’t have any basic magical knowledge because you also have not had a second thought to the things that I asked Breanna to bring me. Speaking of that,” Agatha turned to one of the guards that was beyond the frame that they could see through the camera. “Will you bring those things to me? They should be right outside of the main door down here.” “I don’t want Breanna in here,” Marcus said with a frown.

Agatha hired ex-convict men and dressed them as her guards, in preparation for their plans towards Cruz’s family. Their plan went smoothly as they have spies planted inside David’s territory. “Miss A, Miss Morgan is here,” Agatha came back from reminiscing the past when her guard called her attention. Agatha blew out smoke from her mouth before putting the cigarette butt on the ashtray before she turned to face Martina. “M-Miss Agatha.” Agatha made an intimidating aura making Martina bow her head immediately, to avoid her gaze. “Give me the details. Tell me what exactly happens inside David’s company,” Agatha ordered.

“For now, trust that ye have no need for partner swapping to protect the lass. Just stay close to her, Edwin, my boy, and all will be well.” “Show thyself,” Agatha roared as she lit the candle with a flip of her magical wrist. “Show thyself, demon!” “I am no demon, witch. I am a spirit and I shall show myself when I am good and ready,” the voice said, its words echoing off the walls. “Now, witch, if ye would, I should appreciate it if thee and thy friend would give my great, great, great, great grandson the privacy he requires to connect his energy with his lady and form the bond.”

Either he took Althea or it was him who was in front of us. For a while, nothing happened, and Agatha ordered her witches to disperse and look around. She demanded that every house be opened and searched, and for them not to come back until they found her. And then she kept summoning Alastor. It took more screaming of his name before the fucking demon appeared. He looked annoyed. But when his gaze flew past me, he plastered a sarcastic grin on his face before focusing his attention on Agatha. “Did you double-cross me?” She asked him with her eyes darkening.

She looked at the clock. It is not the time for Lanceil to go back home yet. “Damn it.” Cursing, Agatha packed food for her master and hastily walked out of the condominium. She waited for the elevator to open. When it opened with a clang, Agatha saw a woman inside. The woman was wearing all black from head to toe, from her cap to her shoes. The creepy lady met her gaze. Agatha felt creepy, so she avoided her gaze as she walked in. The lady went out, and the elevator closed.
