The birds chirped away on the huge oak trees that provided cool shades to everyone, the pools were clean, big, and inviting. We made our way inside and Grandma Rose was seated on a queen-like chair, a glass of red wine swirling in her hand. Her makeup and dress made her look intimidating, the interior decoration of her sitting room was nothing like the taste of an elderly woman. “Aria," she called, rising from her seat with a bright smile. I hurriedly walked past Damon and into her open arms. “Good afternoon, grandma Rose." “You look so much beautiful just like last night," she commended.

Where she gets her energy from I'll never know but I'm loving every moment of watching her. The next few hours consist of showers, matching Christmas pyjamas, takeout, sweets, popcorn and a movie called The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I'd never heard of it before but I loved every minute of it and so did Nina. "It's almost 9 pm and way past someone's bedtime." Nina gives me a pouty look before I've even finished talking but it's not going to wash with me. "Can I stay up a ikkle more momma, peas!" She holds her hands together like she's praying and while the scene she's putting on is adorable and has most likely already swayed Josh and Riley to agree, it's not worked on me.

I curled up with Chris in his bed as we watched a movie. He’s been worried about me over the past week, which I feel bad about. I hate worrying everyone. Chris surprised me with a home-cooked dinner and a movie; A Journey Back to Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie ever. I sighed as we watched, “What’s wrong?” Chris asked; I shook my head, but Chris was not about to take that for an answer. He paused the movie and straightened up, waiting for me to talk to him.

“I can’t wait to see you overthrowing your rating.” *** This must really be the best Christmas that I ever had. We did in fact finish watching the movie, and while I stuck to wine, Arawn and Danny shared some whiskey. Of course, the boy didn’t get to drink more than a few sips. To the disappointment of Arawn, we got out our matching Christmas pjs and cozy blankets to fall asleep on the large couch and floor while continuing to watch movies. Danny got Arawn one as well, and I tried hard but eventually failed at not laughing at how hilarious the bulky man looked in themed pjs that would nowhere in the world be manufactured in his size.

Prissy looked up at her as if wondering what she was talking about. "Yes, I guess I talk to you all the time, so you have no idea what I'm talking about." Kiki let out a deep breath as she stroked her fur. "Okay. Enough of that." Prissy looked at her as if she had lost her mind. "Today's Christmas Eve! We have to celebrate!" Kiki dressed quickly in her jeans and an oversized sweater, still in her socks, and headed out to the living room.

Mrs Willow never mixed business with family but when her stepson insisted she couldn't deny. Christmas was near...and as the city had snow everywhere it was a great time to cherish the Christmas spirit. People roamed around with their children and buying gifts for their loved ones. The decorated reindeers...fake and real were standstill in the streets. The fake Santa was waving the little kids...giving candies to them. At night, the decorated streets with Christmas lights enhanced the view. It was so perfect for Pidge...she was excited.
