“Oh, I know he isn't human, but he is fighting for a just cause, which is getting rid of your kind forever.” Kieran barks out a laugh, his eyes flickering between amber and green. “What makes you think you’re going to walk out of here alive?. You better run and pray I don’t get my hands on you, Mayor, because you’re so fucking dead,” he grits through his teeth. The mayor’s lips curl into an evil smirk. “I know how powerful you are and how these wolves are nothing to you, Alpha Kieran. That’s why I prepared an even better surprise,” he looks down at the watch on his wrist. “And it should kick in about…now.”

GH001! Tom felt as though he was struck by lightening. Fear filled his face and shock dread filled his heart. Maybe an unknown fact to most people but Tom was aware that the plate GH001 belonged to the mayor of Taadi. Oh God! The mayor himself is here! He cried in his heart. A man of medium built, aged forty or so but already with streaks of white in his hair exited his vehicle with an air of elegant justice. A group of his men followed suit. This man was Taadi's mayor, John Mahama.

Armando was also secretly shocked. "The mayor of Webvil City is the favorite of the current president. Unless the president gives the order, no one would dare to touch his territory." Armando laughed coldly. "It seems like Master Armando is going to interfere?" William's expression turned ugly as well.

He growled, his lips peeled back to reveal the strong, sharp and large canine fangs. Damien bled from his forearm, as Ash managed to snip his pale limb on the way out. The Mayor's fangs were exposed, his claws elongated and ready. Ash scratched the ground once again and ran towards Damien, as the Mayor did the same. Their bodies met at the center of the yard, as Ash lifted his physique on his hind legs, and smashed his front paws into Damien's battle-ready arms and stance. The Mayor grunted at the force and attempted to swipe his foot beneath Ash's hind legs. The Alpha clamped his teeth on Damien's shoulder and forced the Mayor's shaky posture down to a trembling, kneeling position.

He looked down at him with a cold indifference. “I was the one who ordered my men not to open the doors for you,” Raguel stated, his voice ringing with authority. “Omar Romano, what are you doing here?” Omar Romano? My breath caught. This was the Mayor of the city. The man I had seen on the evening news a dozen times, the man who held the keys to the city. And here he was, quivering like a scolded child in front of Raguel. Then, something clicked in my head and suddenly, I knew. I didn’t know how I knew, but as I looked at the Mayor, I could see the same predatory hum beneath his skin that I felt from Raguel. He was one of them.

There was a cage in his hand. At least it looked like a cage to me. I retrieved my posture, taking a step back to get away from him. Zoe was more scared than I was. Because, as she said, she could get in trouble if she goes against him.

he asked, Mora nodded. The young man got in, “Ten Ten, what is the problem?” Mama Sarah asked the boy. “The Mayor, came to visit us, he went to the crime scene with the commissioner of police,” he told the mother and child with a big smile on his face.

I really wanted to run. Mayor Peter Adam's gaze was sharp and felt aggressive. He glanced at me for a second, and I felt like a helpless duck, ready to be devoured. "I heard reports about a riot in the city center. It involved a motorcycle gang. You must be involved!" The Mayor's voice boomed.

Zekan gave Lyra a hard glare warning her to stop mouthing off before Talon got involved. “He’s here!” Talon notified us as he could hear the car pull up outside. Del and Vivian who were guarding the doors, opened them slightly and stepped out to check there was no threat. “No more arguing, there are more important things to deal with today than petty comments”. Talon warned us all. When Del and Vivian came back in, Mayor Jackson was just behind them with his assistant Benjamin, who I knew was also the mayor’s closest friend. “Welcome”. Talon spoke to him as he extended his hand for the mayor to shake.
