" With a groan, he rose and loosened his aching back. How long had he been gone? Minutes? Hours? He did not know. With a faint flutter, a spherical owl sat down next to him and looked at him with wide eyes. Azrael couldn't help smiling. He liked owls. They were such majestic predators, precise and absolutely deadly, but could also look like a two-year-old child who had just put on a diaper. "Who are you?" He asked her, still smiling, in his mother tongue. She just cocked her head and stared at him. “You don't have to say it. Everyone has their secrets. ”The owl rose into the air and its bright feathers brushed his forehead.

While being dragged towards the ground, I charged an attack on Marikh, which he deflected and dodged with ease. “You cannot kill me!” I yelled. “I know,” he yelled through the howling winds that stormed around us. “But she can!” I narrowed my eyes. A shrill cry pierced the air, echoing through the sky like the haunting wail of a trapped bird. Following Marikh’s gaze, I found the source of the cry. I widened my eyes at the abrupt skip in Kian’s heartbeat. A snow white owl glowing like diamonds flew below me. The thick white mist followed right behind it. The owl flew across the ground, covering it with that mist.

I can see the owl living up at the top of the tree we just past. She's runs for miles and miles play fighting with Rex whilst simultaneously darting between trees and under low branches. Eventually she stops by the river I woke up in, leaning down to drink to satiate her thirst which is when I get my first glimpse of her in the waters reflection. Her fur is whiter than the moon but the very tips are covered in a glowing purple hue. Her eyes as Theo had stated are lilac and bright. Her muzzle is long like any of the other wolfs I've seen here with a stark black nose contrasting so bodily against that white fur of hers.

Her nose wrinkled at the scent, but it was more of a forest scent than anything else. "A patrol is coming," Wildheart murmured. "Be on your guard." Sprucepaw watched carefully as three cats stepped forward. Sure enough Wildheart was right about the patrol. A ginger-brown tom with tabby markings was the first to glare at Wildheart. Beside him was an older looking apprentice-aged cat. Her tortoiseshell fur was bristling with annoyance when she spotted Sprucepaw. Third to come forward was a dark gray, almost black tom with pale yellow eyes.

I wasn’t looking at him directly, but I was watching him through my peripheral vision. “Once upon a time, in a peaceful village nestled between rolling hills, there was a little owl named Oliver.” I took a short pause to kiss Elon on top of his head. “Oliver wasn’t like the other owls. While most of them preferred to sleep during the day and fly at night, Oliver loved the quiet, magical time just before the moon rose.” Elon looked at the pictures as I read the story. I bet he was reading it with his eyes, too, so I didn’t flip the page right away.
