“You Need a ride still?“ That made me pause. I glanced over my shoulder. He was leaning against the table, all coiled, predatory grace, but his ocean-blue eyes held a weary confusion that looked entirely human. “Sure” Shelby pushed off the Desk. “My Bike is out back.”

I won’t give up; I’ll die trying before this ends. As I fight the next two rogues off, I suffer a broken back leg. Hobbling, Shelby continues to stay alert to additional rogues coming to attack us. She stands there again watching Boyd and looking for a way to get to him. As he sees we are not fighting he sends two more reluctant rogues into fight with us. Before they get there, I do a partial shift long enough to yell at Boyd that he is a coward. He smirks as the two rogues stalk toward me.

With a shake of his head, Benedict countered, "How could I possibly do something like that?" Penny seethed at him, "You little creep! Like mother, like son! We found your camera, young man. That's irrefutable evidence of your crime! Are you still going to deny it?" The police officers took on a terse tone with Benedict as well. "We'll consider letting you off on a lighter punishment if you confess, young man." Benedict froze, confusion blooming across his face. A beat later, he took off his shades, revealing a pair of milky-gray eyes that didn't register anything. "But I was born blind, everyone."
