Certainly, there had to be a way to destroy all of them with the book and not just lifting it up in front of them when they showed up. Standing before the compartment, Jake stared at it for a while before deciding to open it. He took out the book and observed the upside-down pentacle again. There were small weird markings around the circle this time. It was like the book was evolving. He flipped open the cover and his eyes set on the markings all over the first two pages. What kind of language was that? He had even done some research the previous night about ancient languages like Sumerian and Mayan but nothing resembled that of the book.

“But why? She’s so young.” Ailm lowers her head slightly. “War is coming. I can feel it in my bones. I had no choice.” Caden reaches for her again—but freezes. On his palm, a strange mark glows: a circle with a cross inside. Ailm nuzzles it. “It’s like a current,” he says, shocked. “It’s an Ailm mark,” she explains. “We are fated. Not just mates—fated. A rare, divine connection.” Drake stiffens. “Will Baylee wear the same mark?”

She hasn’t moved, she just keeps looking up at me. My eyes dart down and make contact with the side of her neck. There, barely visible a mark, the mark that I placed there. King is howling in delight in my mind. My eyes quickly make their way back to hers to see them hardened, she swiftly turns away and heads out the door. The clearing of a throat is when I remember that there were other people in the room. “Your mark may not be gone but it is fading.” That mutt states and when he turns his collar moves and I see that mark on his neck. Did Olivia mark another male? King is thrashing around in my mind and my blood is boiling.

It’s weird to think there was a happy time. “What else is in the box?” I asked, moving the album aside, not nearly finished looking through it but knowing if I don’t stop, I never will. “Let’s see.” Persephone dug back into the box. With a grunt, she took out an older leather-bound book that didn’t just have the Silvercloud owl, but the same markings mom and I have when using our shaman power etched into the binding. As I reached for the book, the markings, and owl started to glow, and it floated out of Persephone’s hands and into mine.

Explaining the situation that had transpired. Asked to take a seat, the only open one was next to Nikolias. So she sat there next to him. Smiling to himself, Nikolias pushed his book towards her. She had yet to get one, so it was only wise for him to share at this time. “Mr. Wickman is strict, but you’ll be okay. The office has the AP Science books, we will get you one at lunch.” He whispered lightly, only loud enough for her to hear. Nodding the girl smiled gently.

She approached it cautiously, her heart pounding with anticipation. "This book... it feels important," she said, reaching out to touch it. The moment her fingers made contact with the cover, the symbols flared to life, casting a brilliant light throughout the room. Kai, Allan, Lila, and Seraphina gathered around Alex as she carefully opened the book. The pages were filled with intricate drawings and cryptic text, written in a language none of them recognized. As they studied the book, a sense of urgency washed over them, as if the knowledge contained within was both powerful and dangerous.

So Chenyin and the others were able to close this chapter. But, another chapter opened. Zhang Wei got some magics and he wanted to use it in bad way. He also wants Chenguang by his side. In the forest, Chenguang, Jiao Long, Chenyin and Wang Lei opened the book for the first time. They opened the first page. When the first page opened they all looked at the page except Chenguang. She didn't look at the book. She took her eyes off the book. Then, left the place. Everyone was busy about the book. But Jiao Long noticed her. He followed her and went out. She was sitting under a tree.

"It's the beginning of the mark Thora." I look at him in confusion, to only have him turn the pages of the book. Near the numeric one a design similar to mine was there....near 2 the veins start extending to complete the sign of infinity and near the numeric 3 was the complete sign...the very sign at the cover of the book...the death wolf. The mirror drops from my hands, to only be steadied by Daniel. "You are in the beginning Thora... it's stage 1 for you.....when the mark reaches stage 3?"

It might not be much of a plan but it was all I had right now. “How do we know we can trust her? She took Elijah, this could just be a ploy to help them get away.” Mark frowned at the books that were currently scattered all around the office. It looked as though he didn’t like the idea of us all trying to read our way through these books. I couldn’t really blame him for that. These books weren’t exactly easy reading, I had already spent countless hours reading through them and I had found very little that could help us. Maybe if I could work out my mom’s cryptic note then it would go a little smoother.
