Paint me a heart
I gaped at Linda, and she started making signs with her hands behind my mother’s back, but I couldn’t figure out what she was trying to tell me.
Annabeth got up from the bench, not knowing about the mime behind her, and returned the greeting. I was surprised to feel her palm on my shoulders, as she spoke with a sweet voice. “I have to go, Alice. Thank you for letting me see you while you paint. I should leave you two to talk about boys or whatever made Ms. Kim so excited.”
Annabeth winked at me and graciously walked out, leaving my eyes staring after her, hypnotized by her long, colorful dress. I guess she liked this type of clothing, a lot.
