I chuckled, more to ease the way I felt than because I found his words funny, “Well, there's something I didn't know.” I said with dripping sarcasm, “Anything else you want to tell me, Mr. Montgomery?” I pulled out my phone to check if I had any new messages, and when I looked up again, my brain short-circuited, and my mouth went dry. Freddy was standing and unbuttoning his shirt. He pulled it off to reveal a body that belonged to a god. My eyes ran down his chest, his biceps, his shoulder muscles that flexed in ways I found obscene as he pulled off his shirt.

I gasped. The next second, Damon had closed the distance between us and his hand shot out, gripping Freddie by the shirt. “Damon!” I screamed, panic bubbling over. “Put him down!” He didn’t listen. His eyes turned red, red with a killer instinct I had only ever seen in his feral state, never fully unleashed. I screamed, my voice cracking, my hands reaching out as Freddie struggled under his grip. My body shook, and then my legs gave way. I collapsed to the floor, unable to stand, unable to do anything but watch.

Freddie sent out another hoot of laughter. “Dignity? Boy, what man wouldn’t love to have all the pretty ladies practically throw themselves at his feet?” Freddie exclaimed between laughter and James allowed his disgust to show. None of those women really were interested in him but his pretty boy face, as Freddie put it, or his bad ass reputation.

Freddy's POV At 9 o'clock in the evening, after I take a bath, I wear a black silk robe and walk around in the room. Sitting in a wheelchair all day, I can finally walk comfortably at this moment. These seemingly less powerful legs seem to be full of strength. When I was taking the bath, I had been thinking about a question. I frown, turn on my phone and dial Roy. "Roy, check if there is a concert or opera tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow evening, or something like that..." Roy says. "Yes, alpha. Which star's concert, which theater's opera do you want to watch?"

“You’re an omega, after all. No one with any sense will want a filthy Omega.” Omega. He spat the word like an insult, but I couldn’t even understand or care about what he was saying. What I saw was beyond anything I could have imagined. Inside were my mom, Beatrice Hale, and my best friend, Ella, with my boyfriend Markle, all tangled up together. After about an hour of searching, Freddie found a room that looked filled with holding cages, as wild animals that to his horror held his friends, soldiers with whom he used to train. Pale dragon shifters, barely alive, almost naked, some even mutilated and with missing limbs. Freddie felt his blood boiling with the fire of revenge at Y but he had fellows to save first, so that is what he did. He allowed Nathaniel and Gideon to open the cage doors for them and then helped them make a beeline towards the path he had taken to reach there, so he could get off of the island with the survivors he had found.
