Hunter paused, if only for a brief second before he continued, "I think I love her." * * * I looked down at my hands on my lap. What have I done? I should not have eavesdropped. The annoying thing about eavesdropping on the phone call was that I had no idea what the other person was saying so I had to fill the blanks myself. Timothy unlocked the safe and I immediately reached past him to grab my rifle. I slowly met each one of their eyes. “Count to ten and come find me.” I dashed towards the woods and after glancing behind me to make sure they weren't there, I darted to the left. I ran all the way to the deer field and scaled a tree. I made sure that I was completely concealed. I kept my breathing light and shallow. I waited until I heard them moving through the woods. I scouted the area until I found them, walking carefully through the woods. Timothy lifted his hand and pointed to the left, before pointing to the right. I almost giggled, barely catching myself as I watched them really try to hunt me down. I mad

The makeshift bandage wasn’t perfect, but it would have to do for now. Xander and Chris had been traipsing through the forest for hours in search of an animal to roast and eat for dinner. Xander spotted a small rabbit who was taking a nap under the moonlight. He calmly fixed his eyes on the rabbit and squeezed the trigger, feeling the familiar jolt in his shoulder as the gun fired. The rabbit fell to the ground with a thud. The two of them ran to it, and Xander carefully bent down and retrieved the lifeless body, a gentle sadness passing through his heart.

Aurora asked, her face displaying a large smile. “Yeah.” Xander didn’t say anything, his eyes remained on the mountain. “About the rogues, you told me you killed one of the hunters, didn’t you?” Aurora said, her eyes on Xander. I looked at Xander, dumbfounded. “You killed one of the hunters?” Xander sighed and looked at us. “Yeah, he was one of the rogues. He’s human,” Xander said, scoffing in disdain. “I want you to trace the scent. I need to find the mask behind the penetration of these filthy hunters,” Xander said and Aurora nodded.
