My eyes widened with bewilderment, fucking no! I bent to pick it up from the floor and felt my heart squeezed. The screen was broken beyond repair, it was as if all my nemesis were befalling on me all at once. Suddenly the phone made a beeping sound, it was my ringing tone and must probably be mom calling to ask why I haven't sent her the location. "Fucking kill me! Arghh… " "Help me… pleas.." a pale voice mumbled accompanied with a small stomp on the car.

I remained silent and insisted mine should be tested and taken instead. Beep, beep. A beep dropped on my phone. I noticed it vibrating in my pocket but ignored it. At the same time, a series of beeps dropped, interrupting my thoughts. I excused myself when I realized it was the guys who were already at the execution spot as planned.

The uncertainty in the room rose as we passed each other glances. Our attention on the screens surrounding us became more intense. "He is following us" I realised. I passed another glance at my capos. Then came that silly beep sound which got me irritated. "Which one of you has your fucking phones ringing!" I scowled. "None of our phones are ringing capo" the blonde which I presumed was the head replied. Then where was the fucking beep sound coming from? "Everyone search for whatever is making the noise" I ordered. Seconds ticked away slowly replaced by minutes and the beeping seemed to increase in pace while growing louder.

I'd previously lowered the volume of my phone and placed it on vibration mode. It wasn't my phone that made the sound. Another text came in. I heard another beep. It came from the direction of Damon's side of the room. I peeked at the door to ensure that he wasn't there. When I'd confirmed, I walked stealthily back to his bed. I sent a reply to Dad's message. I heard no beep. I heaved a sigh of relief. Just when I thought I had been paranoid, another text from Dad came in. The same sound I'd heard earlier blared again.

I plug one in and do a quick G****e search on how I need to approach the topic in his settings but once I'm started I get through all of the usual protections and make quick notes on how his phone keeps getting virus protection notifications so I mend that and build a small wall to keep people from hacking into his phone. “What is she doing?” one of the guys asks but I'm in my element. I tried to call him again, the phone was ringing, but he didn’t answer, my heart raced in my chest, and sweat peeled from my forehead as I tried again. “The person you’re trying to call is unavailable, but you can leave a message after the beep.” The voice of the robot stab my ears, and I threw the phone across my office.

More than that, I knew I had to be extremely careful. Someone wanted to hurt me, and they were still out there. My phone beeped, breaking the silence. Kenneth explained. Joey was somewhat surprised by the unexpected way the virus had infiltrated. "When you connected to your home WiFi, the virus hitched a ride and planted itself on your phone. "That's why hackers could control it while you're not using your phone," Kenneth continued, sharing his friend's findings. Joey drove, squinting her eyes, and silently focused on the road ahead. "But the virus self-destructed on your phone. There's no way to prove its existence," Kenneth said.
