CHAPTER 6 "I am Alpha Kai of the crescent pack!" I watched from the corners of my eyes as Alpha Kai pulled out all of a sudden from behind me. The uneasy tension in the air suddenly dies down, a soft silence hanging in the air. I watched as my father's once proud expression twisted into a frown of shock and surprise. I watched amidst shock as my father halted, his expression twisting in surprise as he turned towards the voice. Alpha Kai stood at the entrance, his presence radiating authority and power. His eyes were sharp, his expression resolute.

Corin dropped low and drove his blade upward. This time the steel caught beneath its ribs. The creature howled. The sound was not animal. It was layered with something human. A scream hidden inside a growl. The thing recoiled. Red mist bled from the wound again. Still it did not weaken. Cold realization hit Corin. This thing could not be killed like a beast. A branch snapped behind him. Then another. Heavy footsteps. Delph. The Alpha burst through the trees with the force of a storm. His blade flashed silver in the moonlight.

The slick marbled floor sparkling neat in its thickness. Declan's unwavering and unsmiling face quitened the hall and they all prostrated. "ALPHA" As the greeting. Declan took a deep breath and raised his head up. " You may state your complains now" Declan said and a woman walked forward. "The signs of Nekroth, the signs are playing Alpha.. Alpha rogues attacked my children and tore away their flesh... Alpha the valuables were no longer there... My goods were taken... Alpha pls do something" The woman pleaded in tears.

I smiled. "What if I did?" He said, trying to be bold. "Even if you did... it would never work out." I blurted. He flinched at what I said and didn't talk anymore. I waited and waited but he didn't say a thing, even his friends didn't utter a word. "She's right, you know?" Misa unexpectedly said, making me look at her. "I'm sure you heard me say it before, you know... when you were eavesdropping. He's an alpha and not just any alpha, he's an elite among elite."

Those were their trophies. “Hunters,” I whispered to myself. “Rasia….” My father’s voice cracked through the noise. He was the Alpha of our small pack. He was strong and looked unbreakable. U turned towards him…running. But I never reached him. A blast goes off. The shockwave threw me into the dirt as pain exploded through my shoulder. I immediately tasted blood. When I looked up, the elder’s hall was burning. Wolves I trained with, fighters, are dropping like flies as silver bullets pierce through them.

Alex growled, his eyes glowing gold. The other alpha's eyes grew wide, and he immediately got up and off the bar stool and backed away. "I'm sorry, Alpha." "What's your name?" Alex growled. "It's Earth alpha." "Well, Earth, I don't ever want to see you at my club again. Now get out of my sight." Earth nodded and ran out to the club. Alex turned his attention to Ash and could see how tense he was. Alex closed his eyes and then opened them as he wrapped his arms around Ash once more.

I smile at him showing my harmless teeth to him. "Alpha." Kira and Lorissa state simultaneously. The word lingers in the air and I feel Cerberus preen at the recognition. A hound that is a sucker for attention. I can see the puzzled look in his eyes as he studies me. "Wings make you an Alpha?" A sincere question. So uncultured with today's world he is left clueless. Hellhounds no doubt a mythical being in his time. Even if the question doesn't sit well with Cerberus I brush it off. We've taken too long and I need to check on my mates and their progress with finding allies. The trip to get Jackson took a few days as Kain and Silas tried to remember exactly where the cave was.

Sweat forms on her forehead. "I am Chase Wheeler, the Alpha of this pack and I will show you that I have tamed Werewolves just like you and you will not be an exception" "You have tamed others but not Layla Foster, I am tired of living so get me out of my misery" Layla has always been a weak wolf who doesn't fight back but tonight she was someone else. I haven't seen anything like her before and so I wasn't going to let that happen. She needs to be reminded that she doesn't even have a right to die.

At that moment I just wish to shut my eyes and vanish from the face of the earth entirely. I struggle to get out of his grip but I start feeling Alpha Victor's claws dig deep into my neck. I choke out a bitter cry but my sobbing noise is suddenly overshadowed by Alpha Victor's hysteric laughter. I feel his grip on my neck loosen, I slump to the floor in defeat, and my entire body collides with the hard floor.

I closed my eyes, focusing on chanting some more, before opening them back again, and saying one last word, “Begone!” The man’s body stopped convulsing at once, and then stilled completely. “You evil woman!” Gamma Spencer shifted at once, and charged at us almost blindly. He was no match for an Alpha whose sorrow was indescribable. Indeed, Alex’s father made quick work of him. “Your highness,” Beta Marc was calling desperately. “Your highness!” Only the Alpha King was no more. His wolves began to lose the will to fight, and many of them bowed their heads in submission, some even showing their bellies. I was about to fall to my knees, but Paulina helped me remain steady.
