Nagtatawanan na lang kami sa loob sa tuwing gano'n ang sitwasyon. Si Gela, mabababang song lang ang kinanta at tamang emote lang din. Hindi siya mahilig sa mga lively at party songs, more on solemn. Ako naman, tamang pa-sweet lang. Mga kilig-kilig song lang na hindi naman kailangan ng matataas na note. Ilang saglit pa, no'ng matapos akong makakanta, may inilabas si Osang sa loob ng kaniyang bag sabay abot sa akin.

Naisip ko, kung kasama lang namin si Ada ngayon, ‘di sana ay may partner ako. Habang kumakain kami, biglang tinanong ni Everisha si Czedric, "So, what exactly is the story of your new song?" "It’s about finding beauty in the simple things," sagot ni Czedric habang kinakagat ang croissant niya. "Flowers are like that—delicate, beautiful, but often overlooked. The song is a reminder to appreciate those small, beautiful moments in life." Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya. Simple pero malalim ang mensahe. Sa singer hindi ka lang ba dapat magaling kumanta kasi dapat may utak ka rin.

I'm not sure why, but whenever I think of her, so many words come to mind that I eventually form lines in every stanza of the poem I'm working on. I put on my headphones and listened to the violin cover songs I had downloaded earlier. When I listen to music while writing, I feel more at ease. I was writing peacefully when I almost got hit a plastic bottle on my head. Fvck! Who the hell threw it? It's a good thing the plastic bottle lid is tightly closed, or I'd be drenched. I looked down and was surprised to see a girl fleeing from the street near our house. "Oh, my goodness, did she just hurl me?"

Nilapag ko ang gitara sa lalagyan niya, pumunta sa piano at nagsimulang magtipa ng keys. “It’s been a long, long time since we part our ways. And I hope that you’re still there. It’s been a long, long time since we say goodbye. I wish I can be home again…” Words and feelings keep coming into my head. My fingers keep pressing the keys, making this wishful poem turn into a song. “If given a chance, I want to come back. To come back home, to come back again…” Home—where is it? What is it? Can somebody tell me?

Nilagyan niya nga rin ng tono, at naging kanta pa. “I wrote a note last day. I read it again, I say, ‘I’m gonna dedicate it to you, the song I’ll sing for you.’ You’re a friend of mine, but still I was blinded by this feeling. And I can’t pretend anymore, I want to be on the shore.” I giggled as I listened to him. He was strumming on my guitar as he sung the poem he wrote on the love letter. Hindi naman halatang hindi siya ganoon kamakata. Ok lang, basta may feelings.
