I stepped closer. “What is that?” I demanded. The doctor barely glanced at it. “Subdermal hemorrhaging. Possibly a vascular reaction to trauma.” “It was not there,” I said sharply. He leaned closer this time, frowning. One of the nurses angled a brighter light toward her arm. The dark marking reacted, It shifted. Spreading slightly higher.

Right after the voice fell, a murderous intent appeared again in the void. Several hundred bright, fiery red spots appeared all of a sudden. The next second...

Angel really looked worried. "I don't know, my stomach suddenly hurt and when I checked there were blood spots on my underwear," Elina explained briefly. "Blood spots? Are you sure it's just spots? Not fresh blood?" Angel asked in a very serious tone, making Elina who initially felt unremarkable become slightly wary. The woman with a fairly large belly nodded, "only spotting, the amount is small and it has only happened once during my pregnancy." Elina explained. "The color?" asked Angel again.

She could still see faint traces of Lazy Eye’s fingers around her neck, certain spots would bruise for sure. Luckily, her child was so small and well protected at this point in her pregnancy, she had little concern that he had just been injured during the assault. She would see a doctor tomorrow just to be sure though. So far, she felt no cramping and had no bleeding. Both good signs.

Brewer echoed. “There.” She pointed to the red splotches on the floor. “That blood.” Dr. Brewer peered over the top of Colt’s head. “That’s not blood.” The bald man crouched down and admitted sheepishly, “That’s my blackcherry Icee. He knocked it over when he hit the table.” India chose to feel relieved instead of stupid. “McKay, sit up so I can see how bad it is. I’d be surprised anyone with a head as hard as yours can bleed at all.”

He pointed at Bella, as if she had any control over that. Clara rolled her eyes. “Now that the mother hen is gone, let’s take a look at you,” she said, retrieving a small eye light from her bag. Bella’s medical knowledge was limited to terms like Popsicle stick, eye light, and ear checker, but at least she knew what it was used for. “Look straight ahead for me,” Clara instructed, flashing the light in one eye, then the other. “I see veins,” Bella commented ctiously. “That’s normal,” Clara reassured, returning the light to her bag. “I don’t see any pupillary abnormalities, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t have a concussion. Are you sure you didn’t fall?”

As the sun rises, Toma immediately went to the hospital for Yuji. He hopes to see him conscious when he arrives, though it was unfortunate that he found Yuji still sleeping. He also discovered something worse, his worries on Yuji has double. Toma quickly calls for help and as the doctor arrived, things were explained to him. My feet touched the cold floor and I stood up, and that’s when I felt it. The inside of my right thigh burned. I looked down, the mark was still there. Two small punctures, perfectly aligned, just above the femoral artery. The skin around it was reddish, but not inflamed. The punctures weren’t bleeding. They had no scab. They looked… fresh. As if they had been made minutes ago, not hours. And around them, a purple luminescence so faint that I could have convinced myself it was my imagination. It wasn’t.
