Clearing his throat, Xander began to read: “To the misguided wolves of the Blackstone and Clearwater pack, and their foolish Alpha's, Aurora. The time you've been looking forward to has arrived. I now have powers beyond your wildest imagination, and I'll reshape the world to fit my ideal. Get ready because I'm on my way to take what is mine. Your submission, or your destruction – the choice is yours.” A heavy silence fell over the hall as Xander finished reading. I could sense everyone watching me, waiting for their leader to provide direction and encouragement.

Behind him, three other men stood in the shadows of the alleyway, their weapons drawn. ​"Let me go," I hissed, struggling against his grip. "He doesn't own me!" ​"No," a voice rasped from the darkness behind Carl. ​Xavier stepped into the light of the streetlamp. He wasn't wearing his suit. He was in a black shirt, his eyes as cold as a winter grave. He didn't look angry. He looked... disappointed. And that was far worse. ​"He doesn't own you, Astrid," Xavier said, walking toward me with a slow, terrifying grace. "But the people waiting at the end of this alley do. Did you think I was joking about the Scorpions?"

He inquired, with a confident look on his face. "Not what. Who," I answered him as I stopped pacing. I slowly turned to him and said it loud and clear for him not to miss a word. "Kieran Blackwood. The Exiled Alpha." I watched as all the blood drained from his face and he became pale. His hand twitched as his mouth dropped wide open in shock. It didn't require a genius to know I was right! "How the hell do you know that???" He demanded, his voice shaking with fear.

''I really do not know Mia, I am confused,'' I answered, and that was the honest truth. ''I was confused'' Because right now, I am torn between the most dangerous man in this city, who has already claimed me for himself and who I am supposed to stay away from , and the good guy who ticks off all the boxes for me, but yet I find myself finding it hard to choose him. Xander's POV I was reading my daily briefs on my ipad whislt sipping on my whiskey as usual, when Xavier my annoying cousin walked in with huge grin on his face, I wanted to ignore him as I didn't have time for him right now but Xavier as always just wouldn't let me.

Marcus dims the lights and stands in front of my with his arms across his chest. "First question," he starts as Nathan hovers the wand above my stomach. "What's your full name?" What kind of question is that? I jump and let out a little scream when Nathan shocks my stomach with the wand. "You're answering too slowly," Marcus says. "Cole McCall," I answer quickly and Marcus nods. The wand is moved across my skin but instead of a painful shock it's a strange tingly feeling. "How old are you?" "18." "Good boy, that's better."

Her words soothe the negative feeling in my chest and I try to go back to eating my food. “Well, other than obvious things the visits of the other humans are going well. I have received a report as of this morning that two people have found mates in the Pegasus clan. Maverick their leader was one of them” Xander states loudly. I lift an eyebrow at him in question as I wonder why he is yelling.
