Surviving the World to Escape Him

Surviving the World to Escape Him

Before I could speak again, the doors slammed open. A soldier staggered inside, his uniform soaked in blood. My heart lurched as I recognised him. one of the men I had left to guard the refugee camp. “Your Highness…” he collapsed. I crossed the room in two strides and caught him before his head struck the floor. “What happened?”

Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

Everyone held their weapons close, ready to put our lives on the line. Explosions and gunshots kept coming from above, and the sound of the walls collapsing was deafening. The ground seemed to tremble under the force. On the fourth day, the noise abruptly stopped. We gathered nervously and stared at the door to the underground shelter. It slowly opened to reveal an exhausted soldier. "The wave of zombies has been dealt with. You can all come out now." Everyone cheered, and we slowly filed out of the shelter. The air outside smelled of gunpowder.

In Service of the Alpha

In Service of the Alpha

Crying children sat next to the only homes they had ever known while their dazed parents tried to console them. “You!” someone snapped behind me. “Move along.” I leisurely turned around to look at the human soldier. “Move along where? The last time I checked this was still a free country.” “This is a classified military site now.” “I didn’t see any signs,” I calmly informed him. The soldier faltered. He leaned in closer. “Are you one of them?” he whispered. I laughed. “One of what?” “You know? A commander. One of those super soldiers.”

Reborn in the Apocalypse with a Simp System

Reborn in the Apocalypse with a Simp System

I had underestimated just how shameless they were. She continued, "Each of them is built like a tank. It's the end of the world. Why would they settle for taking orders from you? Even if you have all the money in the world, what does it matter?" It hit me all at once. Victoria was right. In the apocalypse, no one wanted to be under someone else. The man whose arm had been snapped on the first day cursed beside her. His resentment was obvious. "Stop wasting time talking to him. I say we break the door down right now. I'll cripple him myself and throw him out to the zombies."

The Alpha king's Rejected Mate

The Alpha king's Rejected Mate

Outside, the sounds of clashing metal and distant howls filled the air, and I knew the enemy was once again ready to pounce. Alex stepped onto the wall, scanning the darkness with his enhanced vision. I watched him, feeling both admiration and fear. His eyes glowed a fierce amber as he searched for any sign of movement. Suddenly, his voice cut through the tension like a knife. "There!" he shouted. "One of our soldiers he’s fallen!" I rushed to the window, my heart pounding. There, illuminated by the flickering torchlight, I saw a lone figure lying motionless near the base of the wall. The soldier’s body was still, his eyes closed, and a dark stain spread across his uniform.

Winner Takes All

Winner Takes All

Aldus, with a stern expression, could feel how shaken Austin was by the chaos. In truth, no one is born a killing machine. Even a legendary soldier needs some time to adapt to the battlefield's blood and brutality before they can grow. The carnage of war far exceeds that of a street fight. Aldus had seen seasoned mercenaries develop PTSD after a particularly brutal battle. "I'm… I'm fine," Austin said, taking deep breaths to steady himself.

REBORN BEFORE THE APOCALYPSE: MY EX-HUSBAND BEGGED TOO LATE

REBORN BEFORE THE APOCALYPSE: MY EX-HUSBAND BEGGED TOO LATE

I let the sentence sit there exactly as sharp as I’d meant it. “Are you planning something?” he asked, and I could hear the frustration building underneath the question, unfamiliar and uncertain in a way his voice had never sounded around me before. I gave him nothing. “I’ll talk to you later, Adrian.” I ended the call before he could push further, and sat for a moment in the quiet after, feeling the shape of a boundary I’d never once held in ten years of marriage. ----- I went back to the encrypted files and laid everything I had side by side — the dormant account, Ashwell Logistics, the warehouse, the second property, the records Reyes had led me toward.

My Alpha, Her Mate

My Alpha, Her Mate

she said with a tinge of sadness, and my heart went out to her. "The war must have been great," I said, and she nodded. "Human government secretly fought in it too. A lot of soldiers lost their lives. Most of them became apex wolves, just to be stronger. After the war, the soldiers that were turned to apex wolves went to live with the spirit wolf. I believe some of them are in your in-law's pack." she said, referring to Samantha. There was a short silence, and I believed it was the mages reliving the painful memory of the past. I saw Melena wipe a tear from her eyes. It must have been a traumatic event.
