That was when Sunny came up to me, whispering into my ear, "Here comes the prank!" Even as my mind went blank, he pulled out a remote and pressed a button, and everyone's heads jerked around as a recording of Andy's voice boomed. "I feel like I could get sick everytime I see Jane's face! She's actually eating leftovers out of a chute!" "I wouldn't even date her, if I didn't have to get Mandy's favorite crystal shoes with this prank." "Someone like her is fated to be a garbage picker. And she wants to marry me? Dream on!"

Everyone said we were a perfect match, like a blade and its sheath. We had exchanged rings. The wedding was set for early spring the following year. Everything should have gone smoothly. Yet, staring at the bright “Cancel” button on the screen, I suddenly remembered his words. “A prank.” An overwhelming sense of exhaustion crawled up from my bones. I suddenly felt tired.

Somehow, that felt even worse. I tried to focus on buttoning my shirt, but my fingers wouldn't cooperate. They kept shaking, and I had to start over twice. I sat down on my bed and put my head in my hands. How has everything gotten so complicated? A few weeks ago, my biggest worry was whether our latest prank would work. Now I was caught between my growing feelings for Tara and my loyalty to Jasper, and I'd managed to humiliate myself in the most spectacular way possible.

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure. I even have an alibi. What’s up?” “I woke up this morning and busted my ass. My entire bathroom floor was covered in baby oil.” “Okay, well then you must’ve dropped the bottle and didn’t screw the cap on or something.” “No, you don’t get it. I don’t own baby oil.” “Who did you make enemies with? Because it sounds like someone is pranking you. The good ole baby oil on the floor trick. You alright?” I clenched my phone with anger, knowing exactly who tried to take me out. Who would’ve thought that another human being would stoop so low, especially when they were in the wrong?

"What? Go!" He raised his eyebrows at me and took a step to the left. I glanced behind him and almost fainted at the sight. There lay one of the bikes I had previously crashed into. Fuck. My. Life. --- First chapter down! How are you liking it so far?

“It was too good, like the G-spot orgasm on steroids.” “Ewwww,” Zach says. “Sorry,” I say to him, but I reach to Tony. “It was good.” “Yeah, but I don’t think I will do it again,” Tony gives me weak smile. “I am sorry, my Love. It was a prank that went too far.” “Turning me on was a prank?” I ask, faking shock and outrage. Tony laughs. I smile at him. “Hey, Kid, look at me,” Zach says, making me look at him. “You okay?”

The table went entirely silent, the comedic chaos evaporating instantly as the real world crashed right back into the grid. ____ I just noticed this chapter was missing. I sincerely apologize for the error
