CHAPTER ONE “The Raven King…” Liana gasped softly. Her heart raced as she stared at the whiteboard. The words felt like music to her ears. This was it, the topic she’d been waiting for all semester. The infamous king who ruled with ravens circling his throne, the one whispered about in bedtime stories and blood-soaked legends. The lecturer finally turned to face the class. “When did this historical story take place?” Before he even finished, Liana’s hand shot up. Her pulse fluttered in excitement. She wasn’t the loud type. In fact, most people barely noticed her, but this….this was her moment.

— Good night, Raven. - Goodnight.

The lady was surprised and confused when he suddenly cut her off. "Y-Yes? I think she placed it on her vanity area." He felt like he was being poured with a glass of cold water when his speculation was confirmed. Hyde remembered it when he went to the victim's vanity table. He remembered what it looked like. A bird darker than a crow, and usually eats flesh from dead animals. A bird that means DEATH... A CARRION CROW.

“It’s not like that. I’m not hearing actual words. It’s more… a feeling.” Before Emerson could respond, the wind surged again, rattling the door to the office. Raven turned toward it instinctively. His brow furrowed. “And now the wind has feelings too?” Emerson muttered. “Great.” “You don’t feel it?” “I feel annoyed that someone left a window open,” Emerson shot back. He was irritated. The banter shifted then as Raven leaned back. His posture finally relaxed as they talked about lighter things. “Porsche,” Raven said, smirking. “You named your AI sex bot after your car? Do you have a toaster named Tesla too? I think you should have bought that tomato cutter so you could call it Ferrari.”

Raven "Listen Riley. You wanted me to give you a chance and I did and I am saying that I don't feel anything for you. I never committed to you. We never got physical and I am not emotionally attached to you. You are a good man but I don't have feelings for you." Riley "You are lying." He was shouting and everyone Started looking at us. Raven "Why are you creating a scene here? " Riley "You really care about that? I mean you ditched me." He was talking loudly. Raven "Shut up Riley. Don't create a scene here." But he didn't care. Riley "Listen up everyone. This is Miss Raven Parker. The only child of a successful businessman and industrialist. She has a hobby of ditching boys. Bloody bitch."

I follow wordlessly as Hannah checks on Sienna. Raven is short, but her deadly demeanor makes her 3 inches taller. She has the body of a warrior, broad shoulders, hips, round ass, and legs that have climbed many mountain tops in her days working with air force’s extraction team. Too bad she preferred the company of a woman. Her light green eyes are small, but get smaller when she’s worried, and the lines around her eyes are the only giveaway that she is in her late 30s. “River just called. Apparently Natasha is the one with the problem, not Sienna.”

The uncertainty left me restless, tapping my phone screen without really looking at what was in front of me. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Raven walking toward me. She wore a sheer red lace bra and matching panties. They were so transparent that nothing was hidden. Her nipples and the outline of her body were on full display. Raven is a confident and intentional woman who is always dressed with the intention of being seen and envied. She sat down on the empty chair beside me, leaning back like she owned the space.

Otherwise I'm gonna get that full 24/7 lecture . Yeah it's weird how I'm an adult . And I still get those stupid teenage lectures. *************************** RAVEN'S POV I went to the company I'm supposed to work in . I guess . 'ONE STROKE' is written so big on this stupid building . I wonder whose idea it was . It would be so great if they really get a stroke one day . A brain stroke or maybe heart one , anyways they die . It really doesn't matter how . That's why I think I should do that honour .

It feels like tonight is dragging on, anxiety has gotten the better of me, and I just want to go home. " A penny for your thoughts." I hear Randa say to me. " I've been looking for you, I need a friend right now." I say hugging her. "What's going on Raven? " she looks at me with concern. " Oh Randa, Justice found his fated mate, she's here. I just feel frightened, I love him, I don't want to lose him." I say my voice is quivering. " The two of you made a promise to each other dear, I'm sure he'll reject her." she said in a comforting voice. " Who is she, do you know?" she asked.

Aria’s POV A familiar figure stood between me and the beast. She had dark black hair, sharp red eyes, and an expression that looked very annoyed. Raven. She stood protectively in front of me, her fangs bared as she glared at the snarling beast. Blood dripped from a fresh scratch on her arm, but she didn’t even flinch. “This is the hundredth time I’ve saved your ass,” Raven snapped without looking back at me. “You need to stop making a habit out of being saved by me. It’s getting old.”
