The room was completely dark, save for the pale moonlight filtering through the curtains. The numbness was wearing off, and the cold reality of my situation began to creep back in. I had to marry this man. I had to spy on him to save Jeremy. Carefully, so I wouldn't wake the beast, I slipped out from under his grip. My body ached beautifully from his lovemaking, my thighs still sticky with his release. I threw on one of his oversized black shirts, needing something to cover my nakedness, and began to wander aimlessly around his private study to quiet my racing mind.

I couldn't just drop her here. I sighed before heading to her room. I had no idea how to put a baby to sleep. Hell, I never wanted to be this close to her. Safe. I lay her down gently. Pull off her shoes. Cover her with the blanket. She catches my wrist before I can step back. "Stay," she whispers. "I'm not going anywhere." I climb into bed beside her. Pull her into my arms. She curls against my chest like she's done every night since we bonded. The golden light pulses faintly between us. The bond settling into place. Her breathing evens out. Sleep pulling her under. And then she murmurs something so quiet I almost miss it.

5. Aurora I tossed and turned about on my bed as the event of the day replayed in my mind. I shivered at the way Titan had flung the man off me like he weighed nothing more than paper. The man had lost consciousness instantly. Titan had held my hand and took me out of the place. I sighed as I remembered how I had shamelessly got aroused for him again just from holding hands. Whether he noticed or not, he didn't say anything to me.

I thought long and hard about who could have sent that video and the message but I could not think of anybody. I decided to just let it go, maybe someone mistakenly sent it to me instead of someone else. I took out one of the novels I was reading but stopped halfway and continued reading it. I took my phone and played a music. Before I knew, I started to feel sleepy. I kept the book and my phone and laid properly on the bed. "It tickles, Ronan." "Hmmm...yeah. I want more." I moaned as Mr. Ronan sucked my boobs and his fingers teasing my clitoris.

The sight of him lying there made my stomach twist with pure disgust. I walked straight to the bed and shook his shoulder hard.

Perhaps doing this for William would also allow him to trust her. Without another thought, she rushed down the hall and into his bedroom. The drapes were pulled closed and very little light helped her find his bed. After stubbing her toe on the corner of a chair and then again on the end of the bed, she reached the side. She threw off her robe before crawling in next to him. “William, wake up.” In desperation, she shook him. Moaning, he turned toward her and his muscular arm pinned her down. Just like last night when he’d touched her, tingles spread throughout her body. She put aside the glorious feeling for now.

I know he’s talking about having to carry me back to his room and clean me up. The blankets are drawn over my legs, and he pulls them up to my chest to my chin, tucking me in. Eyes closing. “I’m sorry,” I tell him. “Hmm” is all I hear him say, if he says something else, I don’t hear him as the waves of sleep pull me under. End of Book 1
