It has been a long day for both of us. At eight in the evening I finally settle down on my bed with the book I was reading from earlier. Tomorrow, I and Mom will go out and get some groceries. After reading for fifteen minutes or so, my eyelids feel heavy and I yawn loudly! Putting the book away on the side table and switching the reading light off, I lie comfortably pulling up the soft duvet over my head and soon fall asleep! -- I don’t know how long I have been asleep but I move uncomfortably on the bed and slowly I open my eyes and jump up on the bed scared and shocked!

It is 6 AM and I can't sleep anymore, even though I had so much fun which made me tired. I decided to go to the kitchen and make myself some coffee and read a book in the living room. I sit comfortably on the couch, sipping from my coffee and turning a page from the book that I am reading, called "Dominant Queen". I let myself sucked into the book, that I don't even notice when Dark sits beside me. He puts one hand on my leg and tells me good morning.

I close the app and turn the lamp off. I sleep, in the end, very well.

Rex's POV Falling asleep that night was harder than I expected. I guess the adrenaline of what tomorrow could bring just wouldn’t let my mind rest. But eventually, after tossing and turning, I found enough peace to drift off. That’s when the dream hit me. It was about the book. The symbol on its cover came to life, glowing and pulsing, whispering over and over—“It’s almost time.” Time for what? It wouldn’t say. That phrase kept echoing until I jolted awake, heart pounding, sweat clinging to my skin.

Some sleep will surely recharge me. As my breathing starts to slow and even out, Emma's voice makes me snap my eyes open. To my surprise, she's reading aloud from her book, her words soft and gentle. A part of me wants to protest while another part of me wants to hear the story. I silently fume in my seat until the kid in me wins out, and I loosen my muscles and close my eyes again. Emma's soothing voice echoes around the room, and soon enough, I'm drifting off to sleep.

I may not be able to free myself from the visions, but I was hoping to learn how best to change one of them while inside it. I was so engrossed in the book that I almost missed the strange, quiet noise. I put the book down and pushed the blanket aside in case I had to act quickly. Frowning, I didn't hear anything. Turning off the lamp on the bedside table, I waited for my eyes to adjust before sliding off the bed.

It was already 9 pm, and I was really tired, but the book was so interesting, demigods, minotaurs, camp half blood . As much as I wanted to keep on reading, I couldn't, last night I didn't get much sleep and its all coming back right now. Its not like I've been so busy today, I haven't done anything, I was more sleepy than I was tired. Sighing, I marked my page, 237, and placed it on the sofa and headed towards my room. But not before I made sure to close all the curtains in the cottage. Especially the one in my room. It was the creepiest. I shut the door and crawled up the bed and under the blanket. “Maybe just put the book away for now. Rest. We’ll figure it out tomorrow I promise.” I exhaled sharply, the tightness in my chest not loosening one bit. Still, I closed the living book and placed it carefully beside me. As we lay back against the blankets, sleep didn’t come easily. My thoughts swirled, sharp, tangled and restless. We went through so much to find this book. I believed it would guide us, offer clarity. But all it had done tonight was deepen the fog.

How had he managed to quietly manipulate me over these last six months? As I finished my reading, I closed my book, set it down on my lap and stared at the cover once again: The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, by Anne Rice. I looked over at the clock radio and squinted to read the time- 2:43 a.m. 'Could that be right? Had I stayed up nearly all night to finish this book?
