Rainbow Crown 소설 & 이야기

Zara’s POV We arrived at the pack’s courtyard, and I could feel all eyes on me. I felt like the ground should just swallow me. I walked to the vacant seat near him, and that’s when I realized this was the alpha king who was visiting. The cloak that was draped around me belonged to him, and he was the one who saved me from Jeremy.

The crowns would be brought to his parents and anyone else who wanted one, but it’s been awhile since he’s sat down and made a crown for another person. Carlos wants to make Ricardo’s crown perfect, building it up with honeysuckle, hawthorn berries, and orange blossoms while his own consists of an array of flowers he likes. Ricardo’s is particular, on the other hand. He doesn’t know what else to give him, but this is a sign of affection and his heart swells when he admires the finishing piece.

The True Crown: “You passed. Not by conquering the storm. By teaching it how to love. You are not the thunder that refuses to die. You are the thunder that chooses to live. For them. With them. Always.” The rain stops. We’re standing on solid stormglass again. The ziggurat is gone. We’re back on the steps of the drowned capital, air bubble intact, submarine waiting. On each of our left wrists: a new mark (violet lightning shaped like a crown, ringed by coyote tracks, sunbursts, dragon wings, fox tails, book pages, and tiny black holes). Permanent. Shared. The city around us is no longer drowned.

Violet bit down on her lower lip so hard that it nearly broke the skin, but she still tried to hold her ground. "It's just a cheap ornament," she said stiffly. "I already looked it up. The online price is about five bucks. I'll give you ten. That's more than enough." I let out a quiet laugh. "Are you sure you searched for the right thing?" I said. "Try this. Look up the news. 'Neel Corporation's Chairman Wins Bidding War for Rare Antique, Gives It to Daughter.'" Someone in the crowd gasped. "It's real! It's the same piece I found online earlier. It's worth three million dollars!"

Not yet. Before I can ask, Ronan's radio sounds. He steps outside. Returns in ninety seconds. Sets something on the table. A sealed envelope. The wolf-and-crown symbol stamped into the wax on the back. No address. No name. Just the symbol. Inside, one page. Clean handwriting. Unhurried. Eight words. The half-blood princess will not reach the crown.

And as far as I can see they all look the same age. “What do you mean by that?!” Hamstell. Kenrick sighed. “The Crown Prince will need his Marionette once he grows up. And only the daughter of the Dukes and Duchesses is chosen to be his Marionette. He will need this child. So better to take good care of her…” “Right. It’s better to keep this child alive.” Said Parker. I stared at him and let out a wide cutie smile. “She’s cute…” The guy standing beside the door smirked. Gah. I think my face is heating up. I’m so happy! He took my charms so easily!

As my sister wraps the ends of our ribbons together, taking care to tie them securely, my mother speaks in the language of the stars, singing our story, declaring our names and our truth to the sky. As she speaks the final chant, my brother unlaces us, our fingers still joined. Orion and Ursa each take one, as it is customary to give these ribbons to someone who might use them in the future. At this moment, Tritus hands me the gift I had asked him to keep safe for me as we made our procession. A crown made of crystal and onyx with smaller stones of carnelian and jade. Placing it gently upon her head, I bestow her with the title of princess. My princess.

My bare feet pressed into the soft moss, each step swallowed as though the forest itself were conspiring to hold me in place. From the darkness, a shape emerged-massive, elegant, terrifying. Crimson eyes pierced the dimness, luminous and aware. Not a man, not yet. But not merely a wolf either. Zevrael. The predator I had stitched together, the creature I had seen dissolve into man, now took form in the wild. His fur shimmered faintly, a strange light reflecting off the shadows, and even in that form, there was a majesty that struck me to silence.

Suddenly, there it was - amidst the riotous weather and foreboding wilderness - a shimmering glint caught my eye. Through the heart of the storm, nestled between the gnarled roots of an ancient oak was the Alpha's Crown, gleaming with an ethereal light that cut through the darkness. The Alpha's Crown – a legendary artifact of our kind, imbued with the collective strength of countless leaders. It was said to hold the essence of every pack leader who'd ever worn it. Now, it sat nestled between twisted roots, caught in the spectral dance of lightning that fractured the darkness every few moments. The crown was an intricate weave of silver and gold, studded with rare gems that glowed with ethere

As she lifts it, the polished jewels on the crown catch the sunlight, scattering a kaleidoscope of colors across the room. Rancel speaks softly. “How easily this happiness has come to me. To think that I'm about to become queen, following in mother's footsteps.” With a delicate grace, Rancel places the crown on her head, adjusting it until it sits perfectly. She admires herself in the mirror, a radiant smile gracing her lips.
