I watch the door open, Bear, Hawk and Doc walking in and sitting. “Take a look.” I watch as Grayson holds out the box and envelope. Why is he showing them? I stare at him. “Raven’s past is coming back, it’s someone who likes to kill those she is close to. So we’re calling in everyone, if we’re not with her, we need at least three more guys watching her closely.” “You said those she is close to?” Doc looks at us and we nod. “Yes, that includes Ava, so if we’re not going to be with Ava, we need more people around her.” I won’t let Grayson pretend like Ava isn’t a target.

Making me feel like i just asked the worst question. "Well", he said his voice going back to how it usually was, the voice that would make a stranger run for the hills. "Well I'm Bryan Raven, lived in New York most of my life till now. Cause my dad thinks I can jump off our apartment, so here I am being catered by you guys", he said finally with his face going plane. "Well trust me they're way more places to kill yourself here than in New York", i said matter factly trying to lighten his mood. He enjoys killing people; he's often called "Nexus’ psychopath" by other underground organizations. For him, seeing the blood of the people he kills is entertaining. I follow wordlessly as Hannah checks on Sienna. Raven is short, but her deadly demeanor makes her 3 inches taller. She has the body of a warrior, broad shoulders, hips, round ass, and legs that have climbed many mountain tops in her days working with air force’s extraction team. Too bad she preferred the company of a woman. Her light green eyes are small, but get smaller when she’s worried, and the lines around her eyes are the only giveaway that she is in her late 30s. “River just called. They have an I.T. guy who can pretty much track down anyone, it’s a little scary. He’s this anxious little fellow when you talk to him but I suspect that he might be the most terrifying of them all if you pissed him off.” I’m surprised that he knows so much about Ryann’s other friends. I let out a small breath I had been holding and debate whether or not to mind link Maddox. If there’s a chance Maddox is apart of this then he won’t save me and instead would make things worse. Unintentionally, she was mesmerized by Raven’s presence. After a brief handshake, Raven quickly turned his attention back to Lonan, seemingly unimpressed by Gia. He continued to ask Lonan about college and other matters. Though slightly annoyed, Lonan answered all of Raven’s questions.
