Raven Monster Novels & Stories

Raven and Marcus Raven I shoveled the sandwich my mother had brought me into my mouth as we snuck to the back of the house. At first, the meat and bread had been too much for my parched throat to tolerate, but a couple glasses of water later, I was able to scarf it down. I had to fight back a moan from how amazing food tasted after two days of nearly no food. Lunar hummed inside of me, energized just enough to shift during our escape.

I stood before she could say anything, the floor cold beneath my bare feet. “Now,” I continued, voice shaking but unbroken, “I’m choosing to become the monster who didn’t give anyone a chance.” I met her gaze fully then. “So I can be their chance.” The silence that followed felt alive. Heavy. Dangerous. Mae sucked in a breath. Rowan’s head snapped toward me, eyes sharp—but he said nothing. The Ancient One studied me for a long time. Not my face—my bones. My scars. The place where fear had once lived and been replaced by something harder.

Evander didn’t flinch. “Then what about me? Are you going to take me along too, Evan?” Raven turned to face Evander. Lily, who had been silent until then, let out a look of disgust when she saw Raven’s strange behavior. “Of course you’re coming with us. The base already told you about this, right?” Evander furrowed his brow. “But… I’m really scared of the monsters outside the base. You know I almost died while fleeing here,” Raven said, her face pale.

Raven could only block with both hands, but the monster's powerful thrust sent him flying several meters back. CRASH! Raven rolled, his back hitting a rock. Pain shot through his entire body. "Argh!" It hurt so much. Blood flowed from the corner of his lips. Before he could move again, the monster lunged again, giving Raven no time to prepare. WHOOSH! Raven's eyes widened. Too fast. I can't avoid it! Raven thought. Just as the giant claws were about to rip his face apart... [10%...] [Emergency Function Open]

I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”

He spoke quietly. It seemed that, unlike Arden, he knew how to keep his anger on a leash. Yet my heart raced wildly against my chest because of what I heard. If this involved my mother and me, did that mean these people had a hidden motive? or Mr. Ravenchi?

I smile Raven glares at me, but what did she want me to do? Tell the six year old that the monster that killed all the people holding her hostage was Salem? “Grown up stuff.” I add. She shrugs her shoulders and scribbles harder. “Okay….okay… I can’t take this anymore.” She runs her hands through her dark hair, chewing on her bottom lip as she stares at me. “I saw Jenson.” “Oh, is… is he okay?”

We either live or die together. When I am finally on the road, I am breathing so hard, as if I have run a marathon. The effort of going against Caleb’s order required all of my, and Safia’s, strength. I am not sure if I can fight. Safia asks me to let her take control, and I am about to do that when a dark mist surrounds me. Monsters appear from the darkness, pouncing on Raven. Their long claws and sharp fangs ripping his flesh, his blood splattering all over, the coppery scent of it burning my lungs. I scream, tears streaming down my face as I try to reach Raven, but then one of the monsters rips out his heart and eats it. All I can do is stand there and watch how my mate is killed. Just mi

Raven declares as she digs her hands deeper, ripping apart Dagon's chest. Dagon doesn't even get a chance to speak as he drops to the ground bleeding out; Raven stands above him with the sword still piercing her torso. Bane quickly drops the barrier, but Jonathan beats me to Raven's side, as he catches her when she collapses and shifts back to her human form.

My height towering over everyone in the room. His eyes twitched. Just a flicker in his throat, a breath caught. A reminder that no matter how old or clever he was, he still felt fear. Good. I stepped into the full light, letting him see me clearly. Letting him remember what I was. He stood up as well, Darian Morvain not one to be intimidated. We were almost nose to nose, though I still towered over him, Alpha to Vampire Lord. Predator to parasite. My blood burned hotter. My hands didn’t shake. He was the one here asking for something.
