I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”

He spoke quietly. It seemed that, unlike Arden, he knew how to keep his anger on a leash. Yet my heart raced wildly against my chest because of what I heard. If this involved my mother and me, did that mean these people had a hidden motive? or Mr. Ravenchi?

I smile Raven glares at me, but what did she want me to do? Tell the six year old that the monster that killed all the people holding her hostage was Salem? “Grown up stuff.” I add. Raven declares as she digs her hands deeper, ripping apart Dagon's chest. Raven's POV I woke up with a muffled scream, I looked around my room to discover that the candle I took from the pantry had burned out. I was sweating profusely. I just woke up from a nightmare which looked like reality. The same dream had been plaguing my dream for long. My name is Raven. I am seventeen years old. I belong to the Attic Moon pack, I don't have parents. Yes, I was raised by the kitchen hands in my pack Alpha's house. Everybody tried their best to avoid me, they say I bring bad luck everywhere I go.

My height towering over everyone in the room. His eyes twitched. Just a flicker in his throat, a breath caught. A reminder that no matter how old or clever he was, he still felt fear. Good.
