It seemed they didn’t care too much about the gruesome battle raging outside; their eyes were on the invisible barrier surrounding the house. As the witches walked along the edge, creating a semicircle around the barrier, another figure stepped out from the growing fog outside the tree line. The tall Raven had straight black hair that ran almost the entire length of her back. She was thin and had strange black markings all over her pale skin, which seemed to whirl on her skin as she began muttering something. A black film emerged as she chanted, swirling around her body in pulses.

A blast of light struck the Night Watcher, knocking back part of his shadowy body, leaving the rest of the figure momentarily scattered. But before Raven could breathe a sigh of relief, the surrounding shadows began to move on their own - merging and forming three new figures.

Shadow creatures poured through the breach, followed by something that made my soul recoil in terror. A Shadow Lord strode into the chamber, its form shifting between dimensions. Behind it walked a familiar figure that made my heart sink. Lord Ravenclaw, but not as we had last seen him. His body was wreathed in shadow magic, his eyes glowing with borrowed power. "Did you really think it would be that simple?" he asked, his voice layered with unnatural harmonics. "That you could perform your little ritual without interference?" "Ravenclaw," Prince Kael snarled. "You should be dead."

I said, motivating them as all their eyes lit up and they squealed and giggled. “Oh my gosh, I can’t wait!” Jodie said with a smile. “Me too”. They all chimed in. “We’re so grateful for you Raven. If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t even be training, let alone train with night wolves!” Clarissa stated as they all squealed again. I chuckled at their enthusiasm when from the corner of my eye, I saw Leo walking toward me with a confused look on his face, as he looked past my shoulder.

‘She doesn’t know who we are,’ Clover whimpers, pulling at her lavender colored hair, showing more fear than I’ve ever seen in her. “I’m right here Raven, I’m not leaving you,” I whisper, trying to calm her down, wishing I knew how to take her pain. ‘Gideon, like with Gideon… sink your claws into her to drain her she’s full of power and life!’ Clover squeals almost happily, as I look over at her watching her dance around the bodies. “Clover now is not the time!” I growl at her, trying to understand how she could be happy when everything has gone straight to hell so fast.
