When Scott became Alpha in the future, and Gordon stepped down from his position as Beta, Scott would promote Burke as the Beta of Silvercrest. Burke and Godrick walked out of the cabin and closed the door, then Scott approached Ciara and kneeled in front of her. “Hey, look at me.”

I was already getting emotional as a little pull of tears threatened to fall off from my eyes. "What future? Future is an event that's yet to happen, so leave the future for itself, When it comes. If the future comes, then we’ll fix anything that could go wrong, okay? So don’t use some silly words to make me look like a fool over here," Caspian responded, slightly cutting into what I was saying, his voice rising high and aggressively as he continued yelling at me uncontrollably.

I heard him gasp. "Do you have the ability to read my mind? But please, don't get involved in my problem," he dictated. "Yes, I can read and see what's on your mind. I can also look and see a glimpse of the future," I said. His attention returned to me. He seemed interested in listening to me after hearing that. He shook his head again and this time, neither the old man nor Yolanda had the patience to persuade him any further. "You see," The old man began. He was sprinkling something that looked like dust into another bowl that contained incense burning before them. "Reading the future is an art. One needs to know the past in order to know accurately what the future holds. To know your future, I have to dive into your past and find out where every decision you've ever taken is going to lead you to."
