Consensus With The Lycan King

Consensus With The Lycan King

Even though the lights are not on, I can feel his scary aura. "Why is it dark here in the library? Shouldn't it be bright here so you can read books?" I asked to somehow reduce the tension between the two of us. "I have a migraine so I don't turn on the light too much in here." Suddenly I heard a faint sound and immediately opened the small lampshade that was resting on top of his desk. It gave light but only a little enough to have enough light on Rock's side of the table. I can barely see his face.

Light And Night

Light And Night

It seemed he knew something when Noah said the word “Starlight” On the other hand, Lux was trying to calm down and took a deep breath. The blonde-haired girl had a faint smile on her face, “Huft … looks like I have to use that. Like it or not, I have to do it in an emergency like this. In fact, I really don't want to use it because the side effects are quite troublesome.” Lux who showed a calm expression and she suddenly smiled faintly, it made the man who attacked her feel that something was strange.

She laughed. Hayward was visibly relieved to be back on solid ground. He squinted a little as she made the lamps burn brighter. This was the trouble with the dark: you wanted the light, but then the light made it harder for you to see anything else. His eyes were constantly trying to adjust to different conditions, depending on how brightly lit something was. “That... is a very useful skill. How good is your control? You could flash someone—ahem, flash the light at them—and then dim it again to leave them blinded.” He blinked at bit as his eyes continued to adjust.

The Reaver Chronicles: Raphael (Book 2)

The Reaver Chronicles: Raphael (Book 2)

The light's intensity was staggering, piercing through the dimness of the room like a miniature sun. I winced, squinting to protect my eyes from the radiant glow, which seemed to be growing brighter by the second. I glanced over at Raphael, noticing that he, too, was shielding his eyes from the intense light. But before we could even adjust to the glare, the white light suddenly burst outward, exploding into a brilliant, all-encompassing radiance that filled the entire room.

But as she did, her eyes caught a flickering light—faint, but steady. Her heart skipped a beat. There was a light bulb hanging from the ceiling, covered in grime. With a shaky hand, she reached up and twisted the switch. The light flickered to life, casting a faint, yellowish glow over the room. The light was weak, barely enough to illuminate the dusty air, but it gave her a sense of hope.

Mating Moon - Asara Pack

Mating Moon - Asara Pack

The crackle of torches in black hallways. I crept through the creaking door of the library and glanced at one of the many candles dotting the room. Cold and still. The wax long dried in the darkness. I chose to ignore it. Knowing it was too early for anyone to wonder why I didn’t need the light to read. Because I see perfectly in the dark. A minor adjustment of my eyes, as I willed it. And the yellow sheen was hinted beneath the blue. Allowing me to see everything.

she replied going towards him. "Don't worry nothing would go wrong," Richard replied. "Ok then dad, let's go inside," Lydia said. SPELL AND KILL (ENGLISH)

SPELL AND KILL (ENGLISH)

I went near the window and from here, I can see the grainfield and other parts of district G. Torches are everywhere. They are like eyes on fire. There is really no electricity here with us. We abandoned ourselves and plunged into the fact that paraffin lamp is our only source of light when the night comes. The only device we have that is not powered by electricity but by the use of kerosene as fuel. A wick or mantle as a light source, protected by a glass chimney or globe. We wish for the gleaming moon to be embellished with stars as fluctuating golden embroideries at the night sky. And when the celestial bodies hide, we wish to have that blasted lightning off the field.

You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone

You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone

Lucian opened his eyes. The white wisps of smoke escaped from between his lips. None of the lights in the living room were on. The only source of light that illuminated the room was from the street lamps outside the massive windows. The already dim glow was further obscured by the smoke that lingered in the air, casting a hazy veil over his vision. He cleared his throat and hummed in response. David quickly sent him the manuscript after hanging up. The brightness of his phone was rather harsh under the dim lighting. But, Lucian wasn't in the mood to switch the lights on.

CHARMSTIDJA
Dam*! this story captivates my adrenaline I'll have to force myself for an interval, how much more assaults Callie has to go through before she gets her happy ending. Lily in the name of wealth/fame is just another typical homewrecker hypocritical Bit*h! too many exist even in non-fictional world

i just started reading. i hope it is not as disappointing like other stories i read, exciting to read in the beginning because of the great character build up, but more chapters were added, the more the story become disappointing. The character came out of what they where built up. I hope not.

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

"Are you going up?" "No. I installed a remote switch. Efficiency." He pulled a small remote from his pocket. It looked like a garage door opener. "Ready?" Cale asked. "Ready." Cale pressed the button. Click. Above them, in the glass lantern room, a light flared. It started dim, a warm yellow glow. Then it brightened. It turned white. Brilliant. Blinding. The motor whirred. The lens began to rotate. A beam of light cut through the twilight. It swept out over the ocean, hitting the waves, illuminating the whitecaps.
