Every day he tasked himself to read a few books. He read everything: history, social and biological sciences, and studied several different arts. To make sure that he was as unbiased in his reading options as possible, he didn’t pick the books consciously. He picked different books from different sections of the library without necessarily knowing what he had picked. He only screened each book after returning to his room. And Sunflower had come to known this.

I can’t change that the books have been dropped. “I think you should clean them.” One of her friends snaps; her voice is crazily high-pitched and very annoying. “Yeah, lick them clean.” Sapphire’s other friend agrees; I just stare at all three of them as I wait for the laughter to follow their bad joke but it never comes. I glance down at the books and slam them onto the counter. I’ll do many things but I draw the line at licking a perfectly clean and brand new book.

"Just making sure you're reading something good." Noelle blinked. "Uh... thanks?" Valerian chuckled. "Coffee later? No more spying, I promise." She rolled her eyes. She didn’t even glance up. “Do what?” “Snatch my book away like that.” Sienna chuckled. “It’s the only way to get your attention when you’re in reading mode. You don’t respond to anything else.” I scowled but stayed silent. She wasn’t wrong. When I was reading, the rest of the world faded into nothing.

I can't take the risk of coming of anyone's radar when there is already a high time going neither I want her to be at anyone's radar just because she lives in my mansion. I went behind her and saw her reading something. What is she reading and how does she have that book? I peeked silently from behind her and saw what was she reading. An evil smirk etched upon my lips, so the brown beauty is not so innocent like she looks always. I stretched my hand out and snatched the book from between her fingers catching her off guard. Her head snapped at me and she stood up from her place.
